Archie's fine. I also don't think Dayton would necessarily get a "better" candidate than oscar, but that they probably wouldn't want him. They can (and sort of have to) hire from a riskier pool than oscar.

You've got to admit, the pool of decent/good coaches who are candidates to move on really wasn't all that impressive.

It was a forgone conclusion that Keatts was going to NC State, that deal was done before UNCW got on the plane for the NCAA tourney . . .  after that Archie Miller, Will Wade and Cuonzo Martin sat at the top of the heap that's pretty  meh.

I still think Forbes has potential. I'll throw Dooley in there as well.

I'm not sold on Will Wade, I'd put those two above him.

Sean Miller's brother is going to Indiana. Anyone have thoughts on his resume? Any comparisons to Nebraska football out there?

No one thinks that those were the top four coaching candidates. Will Wade and Archie Miller were very clearly not the top targets for those jobs and Mizzou was the only one of these schools that were going to hire Cuonzo.

I'm interested to know if Indiana even called gregggggg or if his sloppy wife was just one piece of baggage too many for them to want to put up with. I thought 3G was a perfect fit for Indiana, he's Bob Knight without the overwhelming desire to choke and punch students.

Top two targets imo. Elevated play and recruiting.

If SMU beats the hell out of the AAC again next year Jank has to be the top target.

I don't even consider 3G a target, his whole shtick is to tell his people to float an insane number and everybody passes, as I said earlier, no one wants to make 3G the second highest paid coach in college basketball.

Again, the pool of those truly looking to move on is pretty meh.

Yeah

Especially if Semi leaves and he dominates without his best 2 players from this past year.

Recruiting is way down with out Brown from a shallow star perspective.

Forbes is much higher on my list than Dooley or Jank - neither has built their current job or really built anything close to the success Forbes has.  Jank isn't as creepy as Dooley but he is good looking in a serial killer way

Roy would never let this happen, but I'd take CB McGrath.

We should PUBLICLY offer Bill Self $10M per year for 10 years.  Let's see how bad KU wants to keep him.

He does like 10 year deals.

Come home Bill!

the worst performance I have seen from a Jayhawk team. The blame is as much the coaches as the players.
I have watched every game this year and this was by far the most pathetic I have seen.
jackson, you didn't show up. Lucas, were you there tonight. Graham, should have played Tyler Self you were that bad, Mason, you are still the #1 payer in the land and gave everything you had.
Self, maybe time to think about moving on. You can't deliver in the big games and thats what you get paid millions to do.
What a horrible finish to a great season. No excuses other than not being prepared

You don't need this crap Bill!

This one is on Coach Self. I read that article where he was, in effect, taking it easy going into the Oregon game. That should NEVER happen in the tournament. Mentally the guys were beaten at the outset of the game. Lack of preparation...
