Believing there's a chance that Brad comes home is slightly less delusional than hoping BV was going to replace Snyder. Right?

Unfortunately, people like Steffy are part of the facilitator class which has put K-State in the position it's in today.

Thanks Steffy.

Lubbock > Denton > Pagosa > Lubbock  what’s the theory here?

All of the muppet, fuckface, etc ITT makes me very sad. You can have whatever big picture opinion you want but I don't know how you could watch the game on Friday and not appreciate those guys. They were fun to watch. Life's too short guys.

As long as oscar makes the tourney, he's here forever and I still can't believe some of you can't get over that yet. One elite 8 run and this fan base turned themselves into thinking they're Duke. It's getting really sad.

Sure I guess. I don’t think anyone can reasonably expect consistent elite 8 runs, but can we maybe expect more than being the 68th best team in the country each year?

TIA

You understand how the automatic bids work for the small conference champs, right?  Being one of the last at-large bids doesn't = 68th in the country.  That said, i'm somewhere in the middle on this.  The memories of the E8 run might lead me to have too high of expectations but 0 NCAA wins is unacceptable.

As dlew said, i've tried both and rooting for KSU is more fun than not.

In this year's version of the B12...i'd say being in the title hunt into the last week or the season and ending up an outright second or tied for first would = a Sweet 16 appearance. Winning outright and ending KU's streak would = an Elite 8 Run. A FF appearance would obviously trump anything short of a perfect B12 season or something and even then a FF would probably be more exciting in the long run.

Man, the E8 run was incredible.

the last time Vanderbilt beat a ranked noncon opponent was sixteen (16) years before they admitted black students into their university  :frown:

Slave states smdh

But...but...but i thought that the Vanderbilt guy was pro-Union man of the people. The actions of his university seem to racist...RACIST! It must be a tough balancing act for Vandy in the SEC.

{Insert the image of a fat purple pussy (after losing) lumbering it's massive rear-end back to Kansas, here}

For a supposed super rich, successful, and well-educated Vanderbilt grad you are awfully bad...BAD at properly using commas.

Those glass houses, are a challenge.  We have been terrible in the sport of football for many years; you have been terrible in football for many years.  In the meantime, we have saved lives and advanced our civilization.  You should like Vanderbilt...VANDERBILT, we are great people.

Our dear university has contributed numerous breakthroughs in cancer research and other areas of the life sciences. The community in which KSU resides is the new home to the National Bio and Agro-defense Facility (NBAF: https://www.k-state.edu/nbaf/ ). Also, our students aren't predominantly socially awkward nerds like every Vanderbilt student and graduate I've ever met. Normal people in TN go to UTK or go out of state. Vanderbilt is the dork school - essentially the Georgia Tech of TN.

Aside from national championships, what other events that happened more than 100 years ago are you still (oddly) proud of?

Probably their runner-up finish in the civil war.

i mean...i'm not entering into the general fries vs tots debate but Grinder's tots are incredible. BRGR's tots are also good although not on the same level as Grinder's.

I don't live too far from Max's and have heard some good things - just don't go that way to eat much. Is it really that good?

Also, the tots at Grinder's are incredible.

Thinking about getting a $5 sub today at subway off state line. I'm gonna add the works on this bad boy.

isn't there a 'shame yourself' thread?  :Yuck:

EDIT: sorry - went on to see that you chose Max's instead.

Looks like the SEC coaches ganged up on Clemson. It's interesting to see a team get 7 first place votes (second most) and end up at 5th overall.

BMW's growing presence in the area has been a really interesting piece of the city's growth/evolution. There are not many cities in the south where you'll hear a conversation between a person with a hilarious southern accent and a person with a hilarious German accent.

Myrtle Beach or Jacksonville.

Both are dumps - don't move to either one of these places.
Well he chose Tampa/St. Pete's, so say it to his face! :shakesfist:

Was just getting caught up...glad to hear he didn't pick J'Ville or Myrtle. No offense, bud.

I start the new job June 1st and I have 6 months to be moved.  The places I can live are a little more restrictive than I first thought. I have to live within 90 miles of a company office. Offices are in Tampa, Tallahassee, Miami, Raleigh, Charlotte, Atlanta, Virginia Beach and Richmond. We want to be moved by the time school starts in the fall. We're going to go visit Tampa in June and Raleigh after that.

Greenville, SC (I lived here and miss it every day)
It's just outside the 90 miles rule you mentioned...but basically the midway point b/w Charlotte & Atlanta and a very easy drive to both cities and not a bad drive to the beach. Very close to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Beautiful drive up to the Asheville, NC area for a weekend getaway. Reasonable cost of living but some nice history and architecture. Wonderful community with plenty going on.

Charleston, SC

Asheville, NC

Roaring Gap, NC - hardly even a city...but if you can find a way to live here I recommend it.

St. Simon Island, GA

Savannah, GA

I will say tho, we both have credit in the 800's and only got approved in the 200's. Is that normal?

Credit score has more to do with the rate you're able to get than the overall amount the lender approves you for. Your household income, contingent liabilities, debt-to-income ratio, etc. contribute more to the amount of the loan you qualify for.

Regarding the 3x income theory - a lesson I have been told was to keep your rent/mortgage < 30% of your monthly disposable income.

when did "how good we're supposed to be" ever matter to k-state football?

Um, i think that's the way it's been since Snyder has been at KSU. His teams are known to win almost every game they should win while losing most games they shouldn't. So, if the team is supposed to be good this year, I would expect them to do some good things. I think that likely means a loss or two based on a few bounces.
