Upstairs in the Union, or on the couches on the main floor of Hale. Would always wake up with notes on me from people who knew me but didn't want to wake me up.

Also, during Environmental Geography.

Oh man, so this... then was dumb enough to take EvGeoII :goodbyecruelworld:

I grew up with the Sabres.  I learned how to skate at Sabreland hockey camp when I was five....because when you are a kid in Buffalo that is all there is to do in winter.  Back then (early 80s), hockey players were really cool  with fans so they would teach kids skating and basic hockey technique at Sabreland.  I went to so many Sabres games at the Memorial Auditorium until 1996 and then have gone to a bunch at the new arena as well.  I moved out of Buffalo after college...but I still follow the team.  I just hate the NHL leadership...I think they are a bunch of buffoons.
We must have a pretty badass NHL thread if you decided to have your first post here.

Also: Blackhawks are 5-0  :surprised:

Yea, Blackhawks are really good. The Central is probably going to be quite a battle between the Blues and Blackhawks all season long

Yeah, Southwell was inside Young's head big time. Looking forward to the away game.

On a side note, if other teams watch this game film is there any doubt that Young will cost KU a game sometime this season? I mean, if Shane can get that far into his head I'm sure there's other players that can to. (Granted, all Shane had to do was remind him how beautiful he is, while pointing out just how ugly Young is)

He had an interview where he said he wanted to give it a go as a QB or some such crap.

Yea, he's like most QB's in that he'd prefer to play it and is probably saying that's what he wants to play in the NFL. After he gets drafted/UDFA'd and some team gives him the option of trying TE or being cut he'll make the switch.

The lockout sucked, but this 48 conference games in 90-something days schedule is going to be fun.

Yea, it's going to be very entertaining. Very few teams are going to be out of the playoff picture until the very end and at least a couple teams that had no shot at the playoffs in a full season will make it.

UT wins today.

We win today.

We win Tuesday.

K-State leads KU by 2 games in the league.

Boom.

If that happens you might as well pencil in oscar as our head coach for the next 15 years

Blues signed former stud D-man Wade Redden today. I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank but could be a nice addition to an already solid team.

My Minnesota Wild are gonna surprise some people this year.  LOOK OUT

Hard to be a surprise team when you sign the 2 biggest FA's available in the offseason. If it wasn't for the lockout Minnesota would be getting a ton of talk from the media.

I'm not sold on the new GM. The Packers never need to draft for necessity. It's always for, at bare minimum, second string. Drafting for a position of need will be a new concept for him.

Huh? The Packers are one of the best teams at building through the draft and finding ditr free agents. If Dorsey can be anywhere near the GM Thompson is I'd be ecstatic.

I only really got into hockey about 6 or 7 years ago, but love the sport now. I try to go to as many Wichita Thunder games as possible every year and deal with the city's dumbass trash because I enjoy the game that much now. At first I didn't really have a NHL team... followed the Wild and the Penguins, but wasn't that big a fan of either. Finally saw my first NHL game in person last season when I caught a Blues game in St. Louis and quickly adopted them as "my team". Loved their style of play and the fact they don't rely on a true star (I'm a sucker for the underdogs).

If Gronk is the best athlete in the family, we should find a place for him to do athletic things. Surely we can find a DITR to block at fb.

Fullbacks can be used for more than just blocking.  Rock had far more carries and catches out of the backfield then we've seen from recent fbs.  If we have a great athlete at fb, we simply give it to the fb more often.

There where times it seemed the coaches really wanted to use Wilson in more ways than just blocking, but every time they tried he failed miserably

Have 17 total yards in the first half against the worst D in the league.

I wish I was suprised by this. Unfortunately, I am not.

Didn't even watch the game. At this point I can't tell which I'm more meh about, Bruceketball or Chefs Football.

BMW is a great poster most of the time. The only time he's not is when he starts being really weird.

I love reading threads involving butthurt beems and seeking validation beems. When beems becomes creepy beems it's just sad.

My god, this is fantastic. The song is so perfectly crazy and awesome that it definitely needs to be a new BSFS tradition. I feel like even the tucks could get behind this after awhile.

Today may be the first time I've ever got an EMAWboner over football recruiting. Getting Freems from Nebraska was a great day, but this is an elite day.

I could care less what our overall recruiting ranking is because JUCO's aren't going to "move the needle" as much. But if we get some of our top prospects  there's got to be a pretty good chance we end up top 30 right? Top 30 or higher under Bill would have me pretty jacked for the next few years.

Trading Myers for Dickey is the dumbest rough ridin' thing in the world. Christ.

What if Myers turns out to be the next Alex Gordon or Eric Hosmer instead of the next Carlos Beltran or Bryce Harper?

If Myers takes time to figure it out at the ML level, he might be a great player on an awful team by the time he figures it out. If getting Dickey means we can make the playoffs this and next year, by all means, trade unproven Will Myers.

I don't want to trade Myers, but if we are looking at winning in the next year or two, I'd rather trade him than Gordon and Perez for sure and probably Butler too.

Royals aren't winning much of anything with Francouer in RF, that's why I don't want Myers traded for Dickey. If he's traded for someone like Shields, even if (when) the team continues to suck for the next 2 years Shields can be flipped again to a contender at the deadline and bring back a decent haul. If you trade him for Dickey 1) you're only looking at 1 year of him unless you can work out an extension, 2) if Francouer is still sucking up the place and making the Royals awful when it comes time to flip him a 40 year old knuckleballer isn't going to get anywhere close to a Myers type prospect.
