It's only 53 PA, but still. No business hitting 2nd.

There were 8 guys on base in his 5 plate appearances. He left 7 of them on base with his outs, including all 4 runners in scoring position

Cuthbert had a day off Monday. Should have just waited til next week and let Dozier give him a day off when we play. If we have to play CC that badly, let him give Mondesi a break and hit him freaking 8th

Why hasn't Ned put Ken in RF like he did in the earlier interleague road games? Paulo needs a day off more than anyone. Those AB's last night...WOOF!

Also, Ken's career numbers as a pinch hitter are abysmal: .202/.357/.610 in 91 plate appearances

Mo is only hitting .203 since July 3. That is probably 1 reason he isn't in right. He was hitting the ball well when we had him in RF several weeks back.

If Paulo gets day off, Dyson probably more likely to start

53 PA in 2 months and he only got one hit off Jose Fernandez!?!?!? Color me surprised!!!!

The entire team managed 5 rough ridin' singles and a double. This isn't on Colon, its on the regulars.

FSD is right. Colon sucks but he's not the problem. Gordon/Kendrys have each had 1 hot streak and the rest hot garbage all year. LoCain has -0 power. Hos is a groundball singles hitter, and Paulo is regressing back to non-hat eating territory

they're gonna need to play postseason baseball tonight. whatever you want to say about rallymantis 1, he was offensive-minded. rally mantis 2 has worked miracles with the pitching staff, but it might not hurt to bring in a third mantis and divide up the workload a little.

Woa, I never once blamed Colon why we are barely a .500 club. My issue last night was him hitting 2nd with a .184 Ave since July and .240 overall. I'd be pissed if they put Mondesi at the 2 spot just for the game.

It would have made more since to move everyone up a spot, so Cain hits 2nd.

FSD I agree about the regulars. I posted several weeks ago how bad our Regulars were struggling. A few of them have hit better but the numbers over the last 6-10 weeks for a lot of them are poor. A big reason why we went 13-27 in a 40 game stretch mid season

And Mo it's about 200 remote throws.....at my couch (I'm not gonna break my nice TV)

I thought this in 2014 going into postseason. Overall good pitching and being really great late in games is where we thrive.

During this 14-3 run, we are ave 4.76 runs, and we had a 10-4 stretch in April where we ave 4.07 runs.

AL league ave is 4.5 runs per game, so our bats didn't do anything special on those 2 streaks.

We also went 8-1 over a week and a half in June where 4 of those wins we only scored 2 or 3 runs.
