there are kids being born now that will never drive a car according to some people. that is exciting to me. I rough ridin' hate driving. I want my car to do that for me and be safe about it. also not worrying about your kids driving theirselves to a fiery death seems nice.

Agreed on the hatred of driving.  I take public transit everywhere.  I'm mulling over taking a job in Topeka and moving the fam back to Kansas, but I'm skeptical because it is topeka, public transit there sucks so I'd have to drive, which also means I'd have to purchase a second car so wife and kids can get around.  Hyperloop can't come soon enough.

I don't think we are going to have widely available self driving cars in 15 years.

Then only problem with automatic cars is that we will probably have a huge gap in organs available for donation.  Hopefully we can come up with viable 3D printed ones before then.

I would much rather live in the country than live in a horrible city-less suburb like topeka

The point you call now is already the past.  The past no longer exists.  There is only the future.

I just thought of an idea of making a car that runs on wind energy.  Because you know how when you're driving there is a lot of wind because of how fast you are going (if you don't believe me just stick your head out the window while driving down I-70 sometime), well that would produce the electricity to run the car.  Just have to figure out how to get the windmill on top of the car.
Perpetual motion machines are proving to be a difficult endeavor.
