Starting to feel like we're destined to lose to Ku in the final.

It has to end with ku and ksu...just has to. Can you imagine how nervous beems will be?

The amount of butthurt following a cats win would be incredible.  3-1 against the cats but lost the only one that really counted.

There's your statue pose right there.

Any news on how bad it is post game?

Have to figure it's pretty bad since oscar wouldn't even use him as a decoy on offense late in the 2nd half with 3 fouled out and 2 with 4 fouls.

4
oscar just picked up a cool $86k bonus for that win.  He coached his ass off for it.

5
Whole lotta nerves those last couple of minutes.

He had a couple of atrocious switches on D that led to wide open 3s and dunks. Probably accounted for like half of UMBC's points. But was pretty excellent at helping at the rim.

It's astounding how much worse the defense gets when Stockard enters the game.  We're in the post-season tournament after an entire season of play and can't sub out Mawein(!) without taking a big dropoff in defense.

I guess they driving tried again early in the 2nd half, picked up a couple of charge fouls, Diarra shot a layup over the backboard, then gave up again.

8
It seemed like the cats tried to drive early and after a couple of trips gerting grabbed / hacked with no call they backed off.

It was about the time oscar was livid (relatively, for him anyway) and was yelling "You're going to have to win it with defense guys"

We were back to bad Mak tonight, he was very lazy, but I don't even care
Mawien had another good game on defense.  When you are the primary big in the game and you hold Creighton 59, you played some good defense.  Creighton doubled down and took the inside away.

We should be beyond the point where we're grading Mak on a curve. He was mediocre at best last night and that's fine. He does need to be more consistent with his effort.

His defense was pretty good - miles better than Stockard, but man that offense last night, yuck.  If he could catch the ball, he could have led the team in points.

I really enjoy the monster oops that have been thrown to Sneed in the last few games

From the untrained eye, he seems to play pretty good defense.  Better than Stokes anyway.

Still a tragically horrendous rebounder
It's like he's shocked when it falls into his hands.  He almost lost one or two with no competition for the ball.

Mawien could've had a big offensive night if he had avoided all the WTF plays.

The first half offense was a lot of fun - fast paced, moving the ball well, looking inside and attempts from 3 in rhythm.

The second half offense was a disaster until the end.  Much slower paced, little motion, just moving the ball around the outside until tossing up a 3 or a long 2.

The first 15+ minutes of the 2nd half had some brutal offense.

Zero inside presence on offense at all.

I like the plays where he throws the ball.  For having a banged up QB, we don't seem to run many of those.

So Leavitt's about 2 months away from getting $3m to NOT coach at K-State?

Any way that can come out of the Snyder family paycheck?

History no longer awaits.  History has been made.

22
How did they do it?

No one was yelling at them to DRIBBLE!

23
Since oscar isn't getting fired and will want/need an extension, offer one but only with a reduced buyout.

24
Over the last few games, Maurice's play has reminded me of JO's last few games -- obviously JO was at a higher level, but very easy buckets, redirected shots on the defensive end - and oscar doesn't seem to have a plan to make more use of it.  Odd, especially with Wade being non-existent last night.
