This thread would be better if examples were given for why they are unsung heroes.  Maybe specific plays or something like that.

I can't remember half these people or what they did.

Ex.  Tysyn Hartman - in a loss at Mizzou, a fellow defender got an interception.  Immediately Tysyn turns quickly to block a wide receiver from tackling our defender. Great reactions and quick thinking.  Resulted in our guy returning the pick 15 yards.

you have a long memory, sir. case in point, someone needs to find and post the broderick smith blocks the rando miami defender into the ether gif. that's literally the ultimate unsung hero moment.

They're probably the only ones that still do? :dunno:

Didn't he get a sick teeth breaking bass blaster for his car when he got on with Houston?

Jeffrey Fitzgerald

I was trying to remember this guy's name. All I could remember was, transfer from Virginia or Virginia Tech who was our best guy on a crappy defense.

Lamar Chapman

John Hubert probably should get a little more love.

I'll echo Tramaine Thompson. He was v. good.

I'll also echo Vai Lutui. Another underrated d lineman.

This guy is the worst QB in Cats history.  He is as far from an unsung hero as one can possibly get.

Maybe unsung as in nobody should ever sing a song about him unless it's a funeral dirge.

He was very good. He was overshadowed in 1999 by the year Simoneau had.

If there wouldn't be a bar set so low, then we wouldn't have such awesome QBs now.
Science.

Remember the Texas Tech WR who got KTFO at the end of the game in '96? That was Lamar Chapman.

Nope. Super Mario Smith. That was my first ever K-State football game.

And eff LHC Bill Snyder for hating those balloons, my girlfriend and I got up at 5AM to help blow those up.

Well played, TownieCat. However, looks like Jeff Kelly KTFO'd him.
