Yeah, I listened to a few minutes of Beck Today . . .
« on: May 27, 2010, 10:59:39 AM »
he's on the same station that has a decent local morning show that I listen to from time to time.

I have to admit it was kind of funny.   He had a segment about the timeline of the Exxon Valdez oil spill . . . it was a series of articles by date in relation to when the accident occured.    By 14 days after the spill, Bush 1 had federalized the entire clean up effort, taking it out the hands of Exxon and was mobilizing troops.   However . . .. according to the media at the time it way to little, way to late.   By Day 30 George Mitchell  was calling for congressional hearings about the "slow" Federal Response . . . compared to today where we are at what?  Day 37 or so and it pretty much appears that at this juncture Barry Obama couldn't possibly give a $hit.

They then played the clip of none other than James Carville was on pretty much saying that we had a disengaged president and a complete Federal Cluster F_ck.  Meanwhile Clinton's pi$$boy Steffy did nothing but whine and ask just how much a president can really do.

Obama did decide to start his Memorial day weekend a day late and drop by Louisiana on Friday. Good for him. :driving:

it is amazing how there are no libel or slanderous claims against Beck.... the allegations he pumps out are friggin serious. But I guess its best to just keep quiet than to open pandora's box. "Call me!" lololol

1.  libel or slander has to be demonstrably false.  His facts and theories are well researched and documented.
2.  He comments on public figures, which gives him pretty much full leeway when it comes to commenting on the subject's political actions.
3.  Is woodrow wilson going to zombify and rise from the grave and sue?

That's what I love about libel/slander. The onus is on the plaintiff to prove what was said/printed is false.

libel/slander doesn't really hold water in claims against comments that can be demonstrated as opinion, specially with public figures.

That's what I love about libel/slander. The onus is on the plaintiff to prove what was said/printed is false.

I'd be more inclined to give Beck props if he wasn't mormon

Well the oil is still gushing . . . and the Obama administration is pretty much firing up the grills just before they go into a drunken stupor for the rest of the holiday weekend.

But hey . . . they gotta a guy on it.

Yes, he's an idiot. After he had his whole "Debunk Global Warming" show he appeared in some magazine and was saying "You'd be an idiot if you haven't seen the rise in temps" completely contradicting himself. He's just sketch.

No cRusty  . . . I think the main point of when I was listening was it sure is amazing how when a Republican is in the Whitehouse when a disaster hits most of the MSM is calling for heads if everything isn't fixed 5 days afterwards.   Now we've got one of the greatest oil disasters in history which has closed down 25% of the gulf of Mexico to fishing and is spewing 25 to 50,000 barrels of oil into the water a day . . . and Barry spent less time down there than he does on the golf course playing a round of golf.   But by and large the MSM pretty much gives Barry a free pass.

Hey . . . I bet the BBQ and the Blackhawks game were great, I bet the Bud was flowing as well.

But I thought Beck was in favor of free markets?  Seems like he would be happy that his president agrees with him.

I don't know about that, I don't listen to Beck that much.

None-the-less . . . you really have to stand back in awe of the Obama administration response.

It reminds me of the car repair ad . . . "Yeah, I got 4 of my best guys on it".

He cRusty . . . the Gubment says they're telling BP what to do.

It's working out great . . . but Barry's enjoying that Cue in Chicago, probably got a tee time setup for about mid morning tomorrow . . . and oh goody, the whole Israeli thing to divert attention away . . . gotta take advantage of crisis Rahm always says.
