From the article:

Quote
It’s worth noting that Creighton technically has no room for either player visiting this weekend; they have nine returning scholarship players and four incoming players (Khyri Thomas, Marlon Stewart, Martin Krampelj, and Justin Patton), meaning someone has to go if they get a commitment from either Trent or Mulder. Draw whatever conclusions from that you will.

That may work in our favor for both, if we're still interested in Mulder.  It sounds like he wanted to play at WSU, but he may be wide open if Marshall goes to Texas and Creighton doesn't have room.

And I'm throwing up in my mouth by saying that I hope WSU loses their coach and Creighton is full so we can get a JUCO guy from Canada.
Hahahahhahahah

yeah, coulda been baker.

Baker landed Sideke Sidibe, he then tipped off Whitlock when he still had a show on WHB then Whitlock responded with the greatest pro K-State/Charles Baker/Jim Wooldridge rant O.A.T.

The year Whitlock loved Jim (and actually posted on gP about it) was fantastic.

Welp, bye Mulder.

Until Nigel is confirmed gone, we've only got 1 left to give, correct?

Gregory or Trent seem like they'd be decent if we can land one of the two. :dunno:

Think it is fair to assume that Nigel is gone. Think it is fair to assume that at least one out of DJamer and Bolden are done. I have heard rumors of a 5th year transfer.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty jazzed for Corlbe Ervin to man the bruceketball helm next season.

I didn't realize he fielded offers and strong interest from Houston, Loyola-Chicago, Detroit, Indiana State, ORU, North Texas, Texas State and Western Kentucky, among others.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

no, the tip was about Serge. Here's what I could find:

http://www.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/stories/082905aaa.html

Quote
Peaceful Manhattan feels a Serge
By Jason Whitlock, Kansas City Star

While Kansas awaits word from the NCAA academic clearinghouse about the last piece (Brandon Rush) to its 2005-06 basketball puzzle, the final piece to Kansas State's puzzle arrived on campus over the weekend.

Serge Afeli, a 22-year-old, 6-foot-9, 225-pound post player from Ivory Coast, a country in Western Africa, hit Manhattan on Friday night and signed a national letter of intent Saturday morning. Fluent in French and English, Afeli had been a pharmacology student in the civil-war torn country's largest city, Abidjan.

And I thought Elgas was doing the international recruiting, Baker just tipped him off.

What I heard on the radio was definitely about Sidibe. I remember it because I happen to be sitting in my car outside of a subway downtown waiting for my roommate who was interviewing with Anderson Consulting. It was the first I heard of Sidibe and my roommate and I were the only black dudes playing volleyball on campus at the time and I was so excited to talk to him about K-State recruiting a black volleyball player. Like _FAN said JW was all on our nuts back then.

Ousmanne Cisse went to Eastern Illinois to play for ex-Wooly assistant Mike Miller.

It looks like Morais has been playing professionally in Angola but worked out w/ the Raptors at one point.

He also scored 24 against USA in the 2008 olympics:

Mike Edwards has announced his top 5; Nebraska, Georgia, Kansas State, SMU and Marquette. He has three visits left and has already been to Georgia. He will schedule his visit after the dead/quite period. It runs form 1-9.

Hell, he might not have been fired if he let his teams shoot threes at a normal rate.

I wouldn't have remembered half of those names. In some way, all of them put together were a mythological African volleyball player who had never touched a basketball in his life yet had a profile on nbadraft.net.

Mike Edwards most likely to visit K-State, Nebraska and SMU with his last three officials. His current top 4 is Georgia, K-State, Nebraska and SMU.

This one puzzles me.  We have four posts, right now.

I mean, I'm all about best available, but is this almost a certainty that DJamer, Bolden or both are gone after this year?

I also think the staff is finalizing a juco PF visit also.

Malique Trent --- Had in home yesterday i.e Nigel replacement
Mike Edwards --- Gimp #1 replacement
JUCO PF --- Gimp #2 replacement

Eric Cobb --- Who offing knows
Jamall Gregory --- Without a visit I am assume that staff is dragging its feet for a back up plan. Maybe he is visiting and the coverage has just been that poor.

I think Trent and Gregory is an either/or situation.  I think we're taking one or the other.

on gregory, they're probably running low on visits and prioritizing guys that are more ready to not get them fired next year.

Teams recruiting Trent the hardest?
