The biggest downside about the championship game to me is thinking about how absolutely sorry the PAC 12 championship is. Like, why the eff would we want to have anything to do with that garbage?

You're not adding an extra loss. You're losing a guaranteed in-conference loss and gaining a possible out-of-conference loss. On the whole, your conference will have fewer losses.
Also fewer wins.  And playing the Big 12's second best team is usually an easier task than playing the Pac 12's best team.

I think the game will serve as an elimination game and I don't think it makes sense to add an extra, tougher hurdle for the Big 12 to pass in order to get to the playoff.  Plus, without a championship game, the Big 12 returns to the problem of crowning a "champion" in a ten team round robin.  The whole thing seems like an enormo pain in the ass with no real benefit.

Fewer wins is okay in terms of playoff chances. It's just the late season loss that you want to avoid.

I don't think we have enough information to guess whether this would help or hurt the B12's chances of getting a team into the playoffs. The number of scenarios that could happen is so huge.

I don't like any of the B12's options for determining conference champion, so I don't feel like we'd be losing anything there.

Lamenting kenpom rankings or worrying about next year's record is not how I'm choosing to enjoy the ride from the driver's seat. But it's good to know that the option is there!

I think the group of new neocon Democrats who want war with Russia includes anyone who suggests that Trump's behavior with respect to Putin/Russia seems to be a little strange.

ChumDummy said he hadn't heard of anything that I mentioned (which is not the least bit surprising).   I post multiple news articles.   Then it went into an exercise in me having to prove those things were all Trump's ideas.

No, I said from the beginning that I hadn't heard Trump talk about them. I was trying to get you to say why you aren't worried about someone thoroughly corrupt like Trump kowtowing to Putin. And (as usual) you started talking about stuff that has nothing to do with Trump.

It sounds like oscar's inner sanctum operates in the exact same way as Huggins' hillbilly drinking buds.

So, like, if someone is talking about Trump and Russia, it's 100% safe to assume that they are talking about the guy, not his administration. Those are separate things, dax.

Yeah, I don't think you know anything about Trump besides what your favorite news outlet tells you to think.

Please tell me what I'm missing! Please!

Isolation of Iran: Russian Client State

India:  Moving well into the U.S. sphere of influence with widespread support among India's leaders with Trump policies

Barry's idiotic actions in Syria all but invited Russia to intervene, now Russia has fortified it's outposts in the Middle East, and has now fortified the Assad regime. . . yes, Thanks Obama!   Russia offered to broker the removal of Assad in a peaceful transition and Barry and friends said, no.  Absolute insanity.

Expansion of U.S. military mission in Arctic: Thwarts Russian (and Chinese) intentions

U.S. Energy Dominance:  Hits Vlad right in the check book

Backing up Ukraine:  Total failure by Barry, just awful in every way.   Vlad shattered Barry's backboard on that.

I've never heard Trump address any of this. Have you? How are you able to determine which government policies/actions to attribute to Trump and which ones not to?

getting along with Russia

The worry is about Putin exploiting Trump. Amazing that you don't find it to be a legitimate concern.

LOL, your guy was dunked on so hard by Vlad Putin you can't see the forest through the trees.

There's a reason that Vlad Putin is doing all this saber rattling, because in nearly every domain that props up his empire, the United States is encroaching and encroaching hard.    You idiots concentrate on words, and ignore what's actually going on in the world.

Typical, but still sad.

Yeah, I don't think you understand Trump very well. Which is weird because there's not much to understand.

The New Neocons (whose predecessors demanded Detente with the Soviet Union) just went from 6 to Midnight.   Congrats New Neocons, you're getting exactly what you wanted:

Mainly cause they lost an election they thought they had.

This is way off. No one would be losing their crap over a major Jeb upset had his polling been worse than Trump's was. It's all about Trump being an evil moron.
