#5 is great.

Also, still think Facebook is stupid/weird for anyone over 13, but after reading these threads, I am at least considering that I could be all wrong about it.

oh, hey, grandpa.

so, 3maw's family is from down in the south. like, disgustingly far into alabama, florida, and the carolinas.

from one cousin:

"Watching a special on history channel about jones town and Jim jones. One section of the special outlines how well he did getting members in San Francisco due to the liberal, progressive minded people. This is particularly telling in my mind. In an effort to be different and show their own moral and social superiority these people followed an idiot to their death. If you currently consider your self a liberal or progressive please evaluate your thoughts and actions because you never know when you might just be following a charismatic leader to your own demise! Deep thoughts with jack handy..."

here's another cousin who's going to clemson.

Thomas **

"The United States is not a democracy, we live in a constitutional republic. This means that our government is SUPPOSED to stand behind and work under the framework of the constitution. Just because a very silly group of Americans want to ban firearms (which is against the Second Amendment) doesn't mean we should. In fact, this is the reason that we are NOT a democracy. The founding fathers did not want a majority rule because then, as now, the majority of the nation are sheep, only to be herded by Mass Media and enticed with gifts. Remember, the Second Amendment was not established for duck hunting.

Rony ** IHMO, the founding fathers also lived in the 1700s, and not all weapons would be banned. I believe there is no necessity to have assault rifles.

Thomas ** Why can't I have one if I want it? I've done nothing wrong, short of a few speeding tickets. I'm a responsible American citizen. Just because you don't think I should have one doesn't mean I can't.

Rony ** Because someone can break into your house and steal it. Now it's in the wrong hands.

Thomas ** My Charger can easily attain speeds over 100 mph which is against the law and very dangerous as it could kill someone very easily. But you're right, I shouldn't be allowed to own it because someone could steal it and drive it.

Rony ** Apples and oranges. These are weapons designed specifically for speedy and effective killing. They are to assault, not to defend
January 11 at 1:08pm via mobile · Like · 1

Thomas ** I will use my assault weapon to defend my home and property. A revolver has at most 6 shots, and if I have to defend my home from a group of robbers it is highly likely I'd need more than 6 rounds.

Rony ** Yeah, that's just my opinion, of course I'm aware we will never agree and that's ok, it's more a debate of individual safety vs public safety.

Thomas ** And I will every single time protect myself and my family before I give a damn about the rest of society

I mean I guess it matters because usually the ones that are against gay marriage are conservatives, who are the ones who would ever say anything about the sanctity of marriage or some crap? :dunno:

I love this one. Do you need a license to hunt cows or can I just go out and shoot the first one I see?
