I find it funny that the media is trying to paint Ryan as an ultra right-winger when he has won 7 of 7elections in a democrat district that hasn't voted for a republican president since '84.

A swing district, George W. Bush carried the district in 2004 with 53% of the vote but the district narrowly voted for Barack Obama over John McCain in 2008, 51.40-47.45%.

Romney just selected a guy that can't read his own Wiki page. Notice how his seat has been occupied by a Republican for the last 18 years. I think Bush actually carried the district in 2000 as well but couldn't find a link to it.

The last time the STATE went to the GOP was 1984, however. That doesn't change the fact that Ryan's district is mostly rural with no major urban center that makes it a swing district that trends Republican.

Could you cite all of the success that Ryan built that we should be impressed with? Be sure to cite Mommy and Daddy's construction business. So glad he landed a job there. I bet that interview was nerve wracking.
