This moron found a baby squirrel and brought in his apartment. Landlord is kicking him out. He contacted some liberal housing authority with a dOctober note saying he has ptsd. He claims the squirrel is a comfort animal.
Comfortable animals should be professionally trained. People who falsely claim they have a comfort critters need to be jailed. How would they like it if I put a red sweater on a pet gorilla and sat by them on a plane or at a McSnarfus? How about a comfort skunk?
These animals can be a godsend for a person who is really in need and have a special kind of trained animal, usually a dog.

The "real use" should be illegal as well

Agreed

It's pretty amazing how much you can get away with under the FHA and ADA. However, it is a crime to misrepresent your dog (or miniature horse. Only these two animals can be "service animals") as a service animal. Emotional support animals are a different thing, though I understand many states have passed laws cracking down on fraudulent claims there, as well.
As a policy matter, it seems that at the federal level we've decided this is an acceptable cost for the enormous benefit the FHA and ADA provide for people with disabilities. Personally, I'd like to see these laws rewritten.

My emotional support comes in a bottle.

the sad part is that society only allows one to keep the animals necessary for a human comfort when forced by law and medical need.

I read somewhere that they are cracking down on fake service animals.

Spend all day and night with your dog at home.
