I'm on board with Foster and Tre jacking up tons of threes. Are you guys on board with Westicles at PG?

The problem is that he seems to hit his ridic ones pretty damn good.  I would love to see Tre and Marcus in at the same time and both increase their attempts dramatically.

If we aren't going to actively and agressively do anything to create something else, we should try to have two Marshal Hendersons on the court, IMO.

I understand that they both play the same position, but how many minutes this season have Tre and Marcus been on the court at the same time? Just spitballing here, but having multiple 3FG threats playing together could work.  :dunno:

IMPOSSIBLE THEY PLAY THE EXACT SAME POSITION

We've had such incredible production from the point guard and small forward positions. I just don't know whose minutes he would take.

shooting guards are shooting guards and a motion offense requires five distinct positions with entirely unique skill sets

Stretch point, Tre, stretch three, stretch four, stretch five.

unfortunately, iwu sucks.  edwards has better oboarding and to rates.  put him in instead to rebound and kick it back out.

Sure. At this point in the season the only bad idea is to keep doing what we have been doing. Let's do it.

Just for fun, let's have Hurt in there too.

Edwards seems to have only slightly better hands than Hurt, though.

putting Southwell at the 4 IMO made that 2013 team better than Frank would have had us. That along w/ signing Foster are easily oscar's two best coaching moves since he's been here.

Southwell at 4 happened to oscar, not by oscar.

Too bad he can't roll that in to more PT, I guess.  :dunno:

Yep.  Wes, Tre, Foster, Nino, Gip.
I could get behind this lineup. C'mon, oscar, make it so. Edwards in for brief stints to give Wes a breather (who takes over Point? I say Nigel). Would like to see Hurt come in an spot up for more outside shots too.
I'm in it purely for the entertainment value.

playing skilled players instead of big players is almost always a good move in college bball.  kinda argues against foster at the one.  he should be a three.

Agreed.  We need to southwell him as much as possible.

If he can beat out DWade that is!

I like Westicles at point in stretches. It's not like he does a lot well, but he's decent at assists and TOs.

I'd like to see Tre and Foster together 10 minutes a game.

More Nigel, less Jevon.

And yeah, give Hurt more stretches, he's good at boarding and scoring.

Most skilled team next year probably would be....

1) Brown
2) Foster
3) Westicles / Tre (Do you want ball handling or shooting )
4) Wade
5) Hurt

I don't know if Nigel is more skilled than Jevon. He can't penetrate, Jevon can't shoot. Not a fun discussion.

I fully agree with cRusty, Harris should have been getting minutes all season long.  He's the kind of shooter that plays and you adjust your defense accordingly if you have to . . . but he gets minutes.

We get very little from Jevon's penetration, though.

eh, he had Diaz, JO, Nino, DJamer, and Gip. Frank would have had Upshaw instead of DJamer who would have taken some southie at the 4 minutes. I don't think Frank would have done it.

Yeah, on most teams you're right because most teams have competent point guards. (we don't). I think the net "skill" of Foster + Harris + Edwards is greater than the net skill of Jevon + Foster + Edwards. Yeah Foster is less "skilled" than Jevon at ball handling but the addition of an above-average shooter more than makes up for it IMO.

Still, I'd be thrilled w/ sliding Foster to the 3 if it gets Harris more minutes.

I'm just asking for 50-50 instead of 60-40 Jevon at this point.
