I know, no idea why they'd speak of the pre-season top 10 team with the heisman front runner playing at home, more than the under .500 team on the road. They must've missed the #1 college town, #1 pregame tradition, 16 goals/family stuff, sudler trophy thingy, etc.

Made a bet with an Iowa State fan this weekend that we would win 7 or more games. He only gets paid if we win 5 or less.

He was a) confident we would lose to Iowa State and b) confident Iowa State would go bowling.

I'm ready for the season to get started so I can rub it in his face. We play Iowa State in our eighth game. Hoping that is the game where the money gets forked over.

How could an ISU fan think they could beat us? They have had it rubbed in their faces so many times that no matter how good they play or how crappy we play, they will always find a way to lose.

The initial bet was an o/u at 5.5 but after he examined our schedule he convinced me to make a 6 win season a wash. He initially wanted to jokingly back out of the whole thing, but he had already shaken my hand on the bet. At that point, there aren't any takesies backsies. . .at least not in my book.
