Why would you not throw everything you have at les yesterday. I mean eff it right?

Because $250k and scenic views of a hill aren't getting it done.

Well that's just your opinion.

Self already called les and let him know that les wants no part of BGL or Zulu.

Miles could do better than KU. KU would have to throw a lot of dough at him to get him to take on the dumpster fire of all dumpster fires. I could see him ending up at Kstate. All coaches eventually lose at SEC schools like LSU and Auburn, Miles was really good at Oklahoma State.

And you don't think he could do better then kstate either?
You take Snyder away from kstate and they basically become a poor man's version of KU!

I love this board sometimes. Miles to KU? Belly Laugh.

Hey, these are the same people that SWEAR Harbaugh was going to come here, but threw it all away because mean Lew wouldn't let him coach Stanford in its bowl game. Delusional.

Harbaugh has confirmed this himself. Totally different situation though. KU was going to almost triple his salary. Obviously we won't be tripling Les's salary at LSU.

They won't be tripling it, guys.

New good rumor for KU fans to use:  Les agreed to come to KU if they tripled his salary but they didn't triple his salary so he didn't.  So close!

They got laughed off the phone so many times they ended up getting a receivers coach as their new HC  after Weis. Now they think they would have a shot at Les?

Unfortunately, this.  I mean, coaches have a plan drawn up for being hired and being fired.  #1 on the fired list is to call the agent and #2 is to inform that agent that they are not to receive calls from KU and a few other small handful of shitty programs.

What are you talking about?  According to many people I know in Prairie Village, Beaty was their first choice.

So like, what's a poor mans version of a team that hasn't won a road game in 7 years?

It's believable. When your budget is nowhere near $1m per year, your "first choice" pool is pretty small.

Ron would win 4-5 games in his first season coaching the Jayhawks.

Ron would win 4-5 games in his first season coaching the Jayhawks.

Ron's wins would look something like this (and probably forever)

Rhode Island - W
Ohio - W
Memphis -W
Texas Tech - L
TCU - L
Baylor - L
OSU - L
OU - L
WVU - L
ISU - L
Tex - W
K-State - L

Basically, win the noncons, and beat Texas, and never win any games against your 3 closest rivals (we'll say for ku in this case that's us, Iowa State and the rest of the league not named Texas).

Ron is lightyears too good for that job.   Also, no way Bill would allow that level of competition into his coed and realtor pool.

Ron would take the KU job. Nobody else will hire him as head coach because he has that "couldn't win at K-State" tag weighing him down.
