Alex is not the savior, but he's not the reason for failure either. I've said it so many times in this thread I feel like I'm stuck on repeat, but there's only 1 QB in the league that the current regime had a shot at that I would be fine with starting over Alex and that's Teddy. And even with him there's been little proof that he would actually be an improvement, just glimpses and potential.
The Chiefs desperately needed to overhaul their WR corp and it appears they are doing so. None of they guys that had where matches will Alex's QBing style. They need guys who can make plays in space and big bodies who can consistently move the chains. Bowe could and should have been this type of player, but his effort and skill level have deteriorated so badly since he received his big contract that he's been a shell of his former self.
TLBL would work in the sense that he could be great at turning short routes into big gains, but I hope he can be more than that and he wouldn't on the Chiefs. I also think he'd probably end up being destroyed by safeties if he had to play that role constantly.
