She has baked bass filets as well with good results with a little seasoning on top.
Lemon pepper or seasoned salt.

I really like baked crappie/walleye for a change from the frying hassle.

Heat oven to 425 degrees, dry prepped fillets with paper towels, drizzle olive oil on the fillets and add favorite fish seasoning. Usually put the fillets in a mixing bowl, add olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, cayenne, and/or crushed red pepper.

Bake until flakey or edges are crispy depending on your preference, 15-20 minutes or so depending on size.

I have never fished a day in my life, but I'd like to start.  Any resources or tips for a completely new beginner?

I plan to fish in the Potomac River.  I live in the Northeast.

I'd start by asking people who live in that area and fish the Potomac on the reg, not a bunch of message board clowns that fish KS farm ponds.

You should fish for salmon.  It's a delicious fish.

Fished Rocky Ford for 3 summers, you need some minnows under bobber. Cast upstream and let it drift downstream and  you will catch tons of white/small/largmouth bass, crappie, catfish, walleye etc. Key is to keep it about 1ft below bobber so it does not snag, maybe higher if water is up.

I could usually catch a decent amount of bass at the trout pond in tuttle. Fishing below/above pillsbury crossing is above average as well. Never had much luck at pot 1 or 2.

I recently bought my first boat, her name is "The USS Stormy Waters". Her first sea trial was on a farm pond then I took her out on Indian Creek over the weekend.

Just dominated some class 1 rapids but only caught a couple of fish.

I just bought my first rig too benji , it’s a 12’ porta bote powered by a 55 lb thrust trolling motor. Thinking of taking it out to lake olathe sometime soon to do some bass slayin.

I had no idea these things existed but now I want one. Please give a detailed review after its first sea trial.

Do you have to register it with the State and pay property taxes etc on it?

A friend of mine took me to a pond last night. Absolutely full of 12-13" crappie.

Yes I registered it and the property tax is super low since it was used and very cheap. I’ve run it a couple times on smaller lakes and it handles well, I have the older version so it’s got a detachable transom that lets in a small amount of water, need to solve that eventually.  It can handle a 6 hp outboard or less but I looked at what that would cost and said LOL nope relative to what the boat cost.
