I usually try to do a 36 hour fast so dinner, next full day, then do a late breakfast/lunch the day after that.

How often do you do it?

When I'm cutting I do it once a week.

bcaa's?

I've done this twice a week but gave it up when playoff baseball / football season started.  It was actually pretty easy...I did like 300-500 calories on my fasting days.

:dunno: it's the 5/2 plan that I read.  Complete fasting seemed too  :Bonk:

If you're going to put yourself through that, I figure you might as well go all the way. Most of the more exciting/controversial side effects occur from your blood sugar hitting rock bottom for hours at a time, i.e. GH spike, utilization of fat for energy.

if you're really hungry just pound a few ice cold brews and you won't be hungry anymore. until a little bit later and then you'll be more hungry. so maybe save the brew-dog strategy for the last couple hours of the fast to get you to the finish line.

When I was really fat my sophomore year of high school, I fasted hard core for a month. I lost like 30 lbs and looked like a ghost, but I was finally at the weight I needed to be for baseball and girls finally started talking to me.  :gocho:  :Woot:

One day last week I only ate two meals and right before bed I thought I may be dying from starvation. Does that count as a fast?

Well if you fast for 24 hours (8pm to 8pm) and eat dinner at 7pm the first day and 8:01 pm the second day, then you are only missing 1 breakfast & 1 lunch and do most people even eat breakfast on a weekday (I don't)? So I think what you did is the same thing.
