LA92, netflix. Absolutely amazing and super terrifying. 7/7

Super well done.  And agree about it being terrifying.  Craziest parts:

1. When it all started at Florence and Normandie and those truck drivers were dragged out and beaten/hit in the head with bricks/spray painted.

2.  Armed Korean militias roaming the streets to protect their stores and property.

I’ve been on kind of a documentary kick lately. Each of the following were pretty good. Have a couple others I haven’t finished yet that are multi-parters.

Trump: An American Dream(Netflix) - I’ve watched other docs on him before but this 4 parter was pretty good.

Take your pills(Netflix) - it’s about the big increase in people diagnosed with ADHD and the use of Adderall amount kids, college students, and adults. Very interesting.

South Pacific(Netflix) - just like planet earth but about the South Pacific, was pretty cool.

Betting on Zero(Netflix) - it’s about the Herbalife pyramid scheme and the short sellers who saw it coming and the ones who were a part of it.

Dirty Money(Netflix) - each episode is about a different corrupt business or practice.

Mercury 13(Netflix) - it’s about the 13 women who were training to be astronauts in the early 60’s during the space race. The roadblocks they had and the women who eventually broke through and became astronauts.

Finally finished the Elvis Doc on HBO, first part is about his childhood and how he was discovered as an artist, second part was after he had signed with Sun records and his career after.

I’ve been on kind of a documentary kick lately. Each of the following were pretty good. Have a couple others I haven’t finished yet that are multi-parters.

Drumpf: An American Dream(Netflix) - I’ve watched other docs on him before but this 4 parter was pretty good.

Watched these 3 recently and enjoyed them a lot. Dirty Money was my favorite so far. Other than the Maple Syrup Heist which was just so Canadian of a thing. The VW scandal I knew a lot about, but the whole gassing monkey's was super :sdeek: The payday loan was so interesting I guess cause the business was only like 3 miles from my house in OP.

The Mercury 13 one made me so pissed at Jacqueline Cochran, major league bitch.

I hope you took that in an endearing way. I’ve always tried to be a welcoming person to this blog in a joking way. Just thought I would tell you that the outside perception that we originally had isn’t true.

Any comedy fans in here? I've just seen the new documentary on Garry Shandling. Judd Apatow directed it and it's really good imo. It's called The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling.

Apatow did an Avett Brothers documentary on HBO which was also good, although I don't know that it would appeal to non-fans

Watching Gringo: The Dangerous Life of John McAfee right now. I’ve said this guy was a clown before in the crypto space but jfc :sdeek: The guy is weirder than I ever thought. There were like 6 girls they just interviewed and said he would have them lay in a hammock with a hole cut out so that they could crap in his mouth. I mean WTF :sdeek:  :buh-bye:
