I don't think Ryan is a dick per se. I think Ryan probably struggles still with personal issues and being around a super positive poorly spoken person perturbs him at times. He, I'm sure regrettably, pokes fun or calls out stupid things because he is not personally happy himself.

I thought we'd already established that the Hud/Ryan combo is the perfect match? Each by themselves would be too much but together they balance each other out. Monty and Joel fall somewhere in the middle.

It's been mainly partisan hudsucking. Which says a lot about this blog. The balance is perfect. It's not about being team Hud or Team Ryan. It's about enjoying the fact that Ryan is a depressed man that has the snark to combat the eternally optimistic below 100 iq of Rex.

Rex is a ray of sunshine projected through a toddlers jewel encrusted binky. Ryan is a mentally ill man fighting for his sanity and takes it out on Rex. It is not a necessary balance, as fans deserve better than a moron coupled with a average guy with mental issues, but they need each other to keep all demographics engaged.

Not true. The good ones become famous. Others wither away in the shade. I'm way more witty, and I'd wager more intelligent, than Ryan. I wasn't blessed with the physical gifts to play a sport beyond high school. (I'll always blame that on graduating at high school at 16 publicly but personally know the truth). Lots of people toil away in anonymity that are brilliant and struggle with mental illness, few get the platform that Ryan has. Good for him for making the most of what he had.
