NFL Media draft analyst Lance Zierlein compared Kansas State edge rusher Jordan Willis to Los Angeles Chargers LB Kyle Emanuel.

"[Willis] will need more creativity to be an effective NFL pass rusher," Zierlein writes, "but he should be able to earn a roster spot and work his way up the pecking order in either a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme." Zierlein colleague Bucky Brooks views him as possible Day 3 pick, but we would not be surprised if a team fell in love with his athletic measurables -- he was one of the best all-around performers at the NFL Scouting Combine -- and used a selection on him on Day 2.

This guy has him in the third to the Pats, that would be something.

Kansas State LB Elijah Lee met with the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals earlier this week.

Because he wasn't invited to the NFL Combine, Lee may be more sought out than he otherwise would have been during this pre-draft cycle. He has an official pre-daft visit scheduled with the Vikings in addition to a workout slated for the Detroit Lions.

Zierlein is better known as the voice of "SEC Guy", a bit he created on Houston sports talk radio to troll Pac 12 and aggy fans.

There's plenty of those bits saved on YouTube & definitely some funny crap.  :gocho:

28. Dallas Cowboys
Jordan Willis, Edge, Kansas State

An outstanding combine confirmed what we saw on tape from Willis after he posted the nation’s top grade among edge defenders at 94.3 overall, including a 94.1 pass-rush grade. He notched 15 sacks, eight QB hits, and 54 hurries on 546 rushes, and while he did much of his damage against overmatched Big 12 right tackles, he showed the ability to threaten the edge and carried it over into the Senior Bowl game in Mobile. Willis adds a pass-rush threat to a Dallas defensive front that sorely needs it.

Kansas State edge rusher Jordan Willis has private workouts scheduled with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Per Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline, Willis has already worked out privately with the Jaguars. Pauline further passes along that both the Dolphins and Cowboys are "showing a lot of interest." The analyst notes that the 6-foot-5, 258-pounder "look[ed] flawless in both defensive line and linebacker drills" during pro day festivities and writes that "it will be a stretch for Willis to end up in the late part of Round 1 but would expect him to be off the board during the top half of the second frame."

In an informal poll of five NFL teams conducted by Walter Football, the draft projections for Kansas State edge rusher Jordan Willis ranged from the second to the fifth round.

The most bullish of these five teams is viewing Willis as a pick for the middle of the second round. The others were slightly more conservative, with two teams tabbing the 6-foot-5, 258-pounder as a late second round, early third round selection, another viewing him as a fourth- or fifth-rounder and one last entrant seeing Willis as a third-rounder. He has private workouts scheduled with the Bucs and Eagles for the near future and has already held one such workout with the Jaguars. While Walter Football's is hearing plenty of third-round talk, Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline believes that he will be drafted in the first half of the second round.

It's all smoke and mirrors. He's a DITR and no teams want other teams to think he's good so they can steal him. Kinda like Lockett. His draft grades were all in later rounds and he was picked up in the 2nd.

According to ESPN Scouts Inc. (AKA Mel Kiper) they have ranked Jordan Willis as the #32 prospect in the draft.

Risner will/should go pretty high in the draft. I'm guessing he is gone after this season. Love to have him for 2 more years but I can't fault him with the $ he will be making!

Looking like Elijah Lee's choice to go pro may have been an awful one. Damn.

Easily the worst decision. I don't know where Elijah's mind was at when he decided to go for the draft. I knew he need more time.

And as I just typed this, he just was drafted by the Vikings, in the 7th round.

Wow. 7th round. His choice has cost him a lot of dough. Still cannot believe he declared.
