I care for it shitloads for about 72 hours about once a year and then also do not care for it at all the rest
Agreed....sometimes twice a year.  Seems like a miserable place to live.

Ever stayed at the cosmo before?  gE.c user Dumdeedum has stayed there before and really hated it because the nightclub was too loud.  he claimed he could hear the bass anywhere in the hotel.

i've stayed there and didn't notice anything.

Yes, twice before. Never noticed it either. We've always been pretty high up though. I usually stay in the Mandarin/Aria/Cosmo triangle.

@pissclams seems to hate gambling. this hurts my feelings.
it’s only gambling when you have a shot at winning
the truth is that vegas is a dirty town filled with dirty people living broken dreams.  behind the neon sits a truly sad place that I don’t care for at all.

To some degree true, but my sister lived there for a few years. Once you get about 2 miles away from the strip it's a pretty normal town that functions like any other place. It's got amazing weather like 8 months out of the year, and a lot of cool places nearby to go to. Where my sister lived if it weren't for the fact you could look towards the east and squint at the horizon and see the everything of the strip, you'd never known the wiser. Some pretty good greek places to eat near her place too.

The dirty places I think you're references is the stuff just nearby the strip, those are the people who are trying to live off the glow of a very superficial place.

It's the best hotel IMO. The patios are awesome.

The March madness party is a blast. Get the VIP option (obviously)

I've done the hoops party twice. we only do it one day each time. it would wear me out being in the dark all day for the entire trip.

Going for the first time in 2 years this weekend, will be with my buddy and his dad. Tentative plan is to gamble and booze the entire time but we could end up boozing and gambling.
