If the Big 10 expands by 3 or 5, we are going to take it in the ass.

Another good break down on the "next steps."

Missouri and Nebraska both continue to get mentioned.  I cannot think of a scenario where the Big 10 increases by 5 without them.

Pete:

--- Quote ---Conventional wisdom says the Big East may be hardest hit by an even bigger Big Ten. And will perennial Big Ten hopeful Missouri actually make the jump?

And, most importantly, how many dominoes will be set in motion by the Big Ten's decision? The landscape may be hard to recognize.

Psssssstttt......the "size" of the change in the "landscape" is going to be directly proportional to wear-and-tear on our rectums.

we could fracking own the mountain west.

The magic number for rough ridin' KSU is Five.  If the Big 10 expands by 3, it seems to me that Syracuse, Pitt, and Rutgers make the most sense.  They are all AAU schools in massive TV markets.

Five would add Mizzou and NU, IMO.  Perhaps there is a chance that the Big 12 goes and gets Louisville and Moutain West or WAC school we could survive in tact, but I doubt it.

The Big East is about to get destroyed, and that will cause big ripples.

Our best case scenario is that the Big 10 only expands by 1 and leaves us unscathed.
