I continue to get pissed off at KC not stealing bases. I know Gordo is not fastest guy we have, but 3-1 is perfect pitch to run with Salvy up. If it's a fastball Salvy probably makes contact. If he pops/flys out, you get back to 1st. A grounder keeps you out of DP. If it's an off speed, Salvy probably misses and it's a good pitch to steal.

to my eye, gordon looks to be rapidly losing speed. i'm not sure he can really be counted on to steal even when it's very advantageous. i wouldn't be surprised if hosmer is now faster than him.

something to keep in mind when looking at long-term contracts for him too.
