I'm not sure how you can say Pair-ez is better than Per-ez. They're both equally bad.

it's hard to know what you mean by per-ez, but the pear ez  from last night is much closer to accurate than the way most americans say perez.  so unless you're on here every day bitching about how the royals announcers pronounce it, you look like idiots bitching about how the announcers from last night was pronouncing it.

Per-ez is how I'd say most Midwesterners pronounce it. I don't bitch about either because both are just American accent. Neither is particularly closer than the other.

yeah it is.  i don't know how to write phonetically so i don't know how to write both versions out to compare.  but it is.

Phonetically it's correctly PEH-rehs. Both mispronunciations put the r in the wrong syllable and neither uses the correct form of the first e.

WTF...Boggarts and Napoli weak seeing eye singles. Both would have been outs but we were playing both to pull big time at 2nd then short.  Tough break for Pino here early

Yes. A real tough luck 5-run inning for Pino.

Some weak hits early in that inning but he did himself no favors battling through.  5 runs. Barf

It was a little tough luck early when I posted that. Those 2 singles were not hit hard at all. Both are outs IMO if we are playing normal positioning.  After those weak singles, he didn't bear down at all. That's on him

Anyone who was like "Oh hey I'm a huge dumbass who thinks Yordano isn't that good anyway and we're fine with him on the DL" should be thrown in jail in Estonia

Fill in success can only last so long. Young has been great and Blanton had one good start. We were due for Pino to pull this. Absolutely we're at the point where we need our regulars to come back healthy.

Yeah, this might be a good thing. He can go to his therapist and figure this thing out.

I went back and read yesterday's stuff. It was really just WC, and then 'blast said he's less concerned than most. So once again, WC08 does what WC08 does

that's the thing. the Blanton game was a water to wine level miracle. Pino is our 8th starter. 8th. Young is 6th, Blanton is 7th. This should be no shock, and without Yordano/Duffy playing at minimum as well as they did last year, or some phenomenal trade, we're not a World Series contender.
