I haven't read a newspaper since the internet broke out. I guess i'll miss him on twitter?!  :dunno:

then you missed some of the best stories written about the best 2 year run in Royals history
That would have been awesome to read before the invention of the TV, Twitter, and the internet.  :frown:

you can read the star online. newspapers have websites.

I mean the Royals writing job is fun now.  Fun personalities to cover and a good team/organization.  I'm sure they will get plenty of resumes to look over.

they've never had a good one before, and all their other writers suck, so idk.

Probably a really good chance the next beat writer is better than Andy.

you're going to be disappointed at how much worse you perceive mellinger to be from here on.

none taken. I'd be a horrible beat writer, although I think I'd be a good fan site reporter or blogger. I think WC and others don't understand the job of a beat writer. If he's a fan, its detrimental to his ability to cover the team IMO. He was objective, didn't care if the players liked him (holland and dyson hated him), and gave fans great coverage for 2 years. Go back and read his Chris Young story from after Game 4 of the ALCS, or his story on the Wild Card game from September of this year, or his story on Game 2 of the World Series, all were fantastic. Captured the moment, told the story, without being a fan boy. The Star is not a fan site and their writers shouldn't be expected to behave like D Scott.

Oh, i'm sure he was great, cf3. I just don't read up on my teams the next day anymore. I understand having to be neutral when it comes to this stuff. I rather blog about the game with my friends, than read someones else's few point on it.
