I will give you that his eye brow management is a liability.
also not a fan of the high & tight Hot Horndogs, shaggy HH had more floor presence imo

why not just play more guards?

I'm pretty sure the guards would be walk-ons as well.

I would be more concerned if Budke was just showing up from Beloit High, but he did play a lot of minutes against a lot of D1 caliber players the last two years for a really good JUCO. I'm sure Williams will get some of his minutes once he becomes healthy.

Hot horndogs is hot dogshit and everyone knows it.  It appears some of us are just in different stages of acceptance.  I for one have fully embraced how hilarious it is that he plays significant minutes.

1) Budke should not be playing for this team
2) Budke is playing for this team
3) You can evaluate performances using either 1) or 2) as your starting point, but he has played some helpful minutes for the team so far this year already and he is going to continue to play so it is probably better to actually look at what he is doing in the games

And I fully agree that he should not be playing for this team, but because we oscar'd our whole team he happens to be doing that anyways.

Redshirting two bigs is a problem. I don't think redshirts in basketball are that advantageous anyways.

No one is redshirting by choice that we know of, correct?

This.

This what? He has 12 points and 15 rebounds in 6 games, he's averaging 13 minutes per in those games. He accumulated 1/4 of his stats in his "good game." I don't mean to trash the kid, it isn't even his fault, I'm not even sure I fault oscar for having to play a walk-on.

If you are saying that we are getting beyond what we should expect from a walk-on, I guess I can't disagree, but we're getting to a place on our schedule where his 13 minutes per can become very problematic. I guess I'll back off for now but if oscar plays Hot Horndogs the way he used B-Ro last year I'll lose it.

oscar should be a good enough coach that he can figure out how to create a successful line up using his existing roster that doesn't include playing hot horndogs 13 minutes a game.  if that means oscar needs to get comfortable running different offensive/defensive sets, then that's what he needs to do.  i think h2's minutes are a function of oscar wanting to do oscar rather than a result of h2's skill relative to oscar's other options.  we're playing down a man.

in hot horndogs defense, at least he hasn't dunked in the pregame yet, so he's got that going for him, which is nice.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Wes getting in foul trouble which has reduced his minutes significantly affects this lineup a bunch.  If we had Westicles, Stokes and Hopper all playing 30+ minutes a night it would reduce a lot of stress on the rest of the lineup.

One might even say his pregame performance has been solid.

We also need more DJamer.

Right a 3 man rotation of 25 minutes with Claws, Big Meat and xWhomper would be great.

He's been pretty good this year, he just needs to stop shooting 3s. He wasn't great offensively against Carolina, but he's been our most consistent offensive player and he's our best offensive performer so far this season if you go by offensive ratings. He's great at finishing (2PT% is 66%), gets to the FT line (43 attempts, great FT rate), plus he's oboarding and his assists to TOs is really solid. He's looking like the player we hoped he'd be last year IMO.

Unfortunately we hoped he'd stretch the floor. I feel like he is getting by with his athletic ability right now against inferior athletes. I'm happy with his FTr, pretty suspicious about the rest. I'll stick with my opinion that we're doomed with him as our offensive leader, especially the poor shooting Edwards as our leader.
