It always seems like the big dominoes don't fall until after championship weekend. But yeah, USC staying in house and Miami scooping up someone who was just fired has really taken the wind out of the sails.

I think buyouts have gotten a lot bigger over the years, and people don't want to overpay for someone that's probably going to give them a similar record as some dude who coaches in the MAC right now, or is calling plays at a P5 program.

Pulling someone from a lateral job, or even one that's just a tiny step down, is incredibly expensive.
