Well, aesthetically, Stanford's stadium has a single, coherent design that doesn't look like a bunch of separate projects cobbled together like ours. Also, a there's nothing wrong with a little asymmetry, but our stadium is extremely asymmetrical and the propotions are all mumped up in several ways including east to west and WSC to bowl seating.

Easy fix. Keep circling around the stadium doing different upgrades each time until it evens out. Kind of like evening your sideburns.

chum is spot on. And yes, there are ways they can do the south and east to add symmetry but I have absolutely no reason to believe they'll do it that way.

When my mom was in town a few weeks ago she got on the topic about how she is doing a lot of work at/with stanford right now and how she liked the campus. I told her it looks like a taco bell and she really enjoyed that and said she was going to tell her colleagues the same.

Levi's stadium is the wave of the future.   If you look, it actually has a lot of symmetry while putting lots of expensive suites closer to the field and along the sideline.   That's what people who spend millions on suites want.

Yeah, based on online reviews, almost no one thinks Levi's Stadium looks good and lots of people think it looks bad. And this is what we were actually discussing.

Many people do also talk about how it was designed for people with lots of money to come in and spend lots of money, but they do so as a CRITICSM, saying that it sucks for average fans and has a crap atmosphere. Maybe that's what K-State is going for?

There are 2 things wrong with Levi's stadium. The location is way too far south, and the name is stupid

It's home to an NFL team, so it's going to be expensive.   Hell its $35 to $40 bucks for a pre game omelet and 1 Bloody Mary on the club level of Arrowhead.

Tell me about it. It actually looks much better and more balanced from that angle than it does from the inside. I guess maybe this whole time when I've said stadiums need symmetry, I should actually have been using the word "balance."  I think I care more about a good balance than about actual symmetry. I think.
