kenpom #72, #78, #112, and #121 teams last year. All very winnable games, but hopefully they all improve so that at least 2 of them are good RPI wins.

Playing vandy sounds like a lot of fun.

Vandy has that bizarre setup with the benches on the baselines. Fortunately for us our players will still be able to hear oscar when they are on the opposite end of the court

I think the last time we played @ Vandy it might have been one of the ugliest basketball games in the history of the game.

The areas out of bounds along the sidelines were very wide, in contrast with the small facility which it replaced, where the walls were right along the sidelines and players could scrape their shoulders bringing the ball up the court. This necessitated the placement of the benches at each end of the court, which was not highly unusual at the time.

I don't follow what currently prevents the benches from being on the sides.

I think because the bench being along the sidelines would block the line of vision for a lot of fans who are literally sitting below the floor. An extremely bizarre arena not sure why it's set up like this

I read that too but looking at the picture, I'm not sure if that's still the case or how much of a difference it makes compared to the baseline front-row'rs in the bottom left corner of the picture trying to see the game over the bench.

The benches are on the endzones due to the floor being raised about 3 ft on the sidelines. It was built to also host concerts and plays, thus the raised floor on the sidelines. Also the architect went to school in France and played in req league basketball there. His quote in the book about Memorial was the gym was so small, he could barely take the ball out of bounds. Memorial was his first job after architect school and he wanted extra wide areas past the out of bounds lines.

Show us a good picture that better displays this than the one above.  The people on the far sideline and the baselines all appear to be on the floor.  The near sideline is hard to tell, but even if that one has people below floor level, why not benches on the far sideline?

And I guess by looking at these pics, they'd have to get rid of a few rows of seats because fans couldn't see if the benches were on the sideline. And it would be hard because of the curved seating plan.
