For shits and giggles, I bet $10 ML on every underdog in the first round.  Will be interesting to see how it ends up after today.

They will be OK as long as what you are putting them on isn't horribly rutted up and unstable.  I would wait until it gets hot to put them down though and then wheel roll the living crap out of them with a loaded wheat truck or something like that.

If they have physical access to your device and your recovery phase they can get your keys.
So then if I lose my physical wallet (or it gets stolen) I cannot access my crypto?

If you have a ledger, you can access it if you buy another ledger and use your recovery information.  Not sure about the other brands.  I had an old ledger that was outdated due to memory issues and had to purchase a new one.  Set the new one up with my existing recovery information and was good to go.

Ok well I didn’t mean like literally you crack it open to find your recovery phrase. But when you say “extra layer of security so you and only you know your recovery phrase” it seems like all it does is securely store your recovery phrase.

After much research, this is the song he should use.

The biggest problem that I am going to have when some of these altcoins pop is figuring out how to convert them to BTC.

wrestling sounded pretty good if you were into 24/7 chawdips to avoid eating and also getting a bunch of medieval skin worm things and maybe running around for hours wearing sweaters or some stupid crap

they did latex suits when I was in high school. my dumb high school take was "if you're the toughest mother rough rider that you say you are, why are you so afraid of wrestling someone in the higher weight bracket?"
The entire culture, as someone who has never been around it, seems cringey

I thought the same thing until my daughter started wrestling.  Totally changed my outlook on the sport once we got involved.  Also, the weight cutting thing has changed a fair amount from the past.  Kids will still cut weight, but I don't think the majority of them are cutting a crazy amount.  Most of the kids we are around just pay very close attention to what they put in their bodies during the season (and after for that matter).  The only kids we had that struggled a bit with weight from time to time used the YOLO approach to diet during the season.

What does wrestling do for kids? Have zero wrestling experience or knowledge.

Discipline and perseverance are the main things I would point to.  It is a great sport for girls too and girls wrestling is absolutely exploding right now.

More and more I believe wrestling is invaluable for developing positive traits in youths.

Once you’ve wrestled, everything else is easy.

I keep trying to convince Lil SF of this very thing. I never wrestled, but I am of the opinion that learning to wrestle at a young age solves many problems in JH, HS, and even college. I may force him to give it a try.

I wouldn't recommend forcing him.  My recommendation would be to take him to some wrestling tournaments so he can see what it is all about.  Hopefully he will have some buds who wrestle that can help convince him to try it.

Not sure where you are at, but going to a college event would be pretty cool for him.  It will be freestyle instead of folkstyle, but he will get the general idea.

What is driving the latest BTC run?
Less sell pressure from outflows from GBTC, record buying inflows into the BTC ETFs. Might also be a real time indicator that inflation isn’t cooling as much as we think, numbers come out tomorrow.

Also yes the halving is in April. Right now ~900 new BTC are entering the market every day. Will be ~450 after.

Thanks.  I haven't been following this much lately.

Not necessarily little kid sports, but this year the KWCA and the Shriners are having a first annual Wrestling Dual event like the Shrine Bowl in football.  Found out this morning that our daughter is going to get to wrestle in this deal.

My daughter has an old school turntable that I hooked up to an external speaker.  Had to buy a pre-amp to make it work.  Finally bought a cheap receiver that has a phono input and didn't need the pre-amp anymore.

What does a 50 acre parcel with a suitable building site go for these days?

Depends on where you are at.  Anywhere from $1500 to $7000+ per acre.  The good news is I don't necessarily need the property to have a suitable building site on it.  I have the technology to fix that once I buy the property.

Just ordered 4 more bottles from Amazon as the first one didn't last long.

As a soon to be empty nester, seriously considering selling our soon to be too big house and building a barndo on 40-50 acres.
Fantastic plan. I've been doing the RV life as an empty nester but grabbing an apartment to help my 19 y.o. kiddo get on her feet.

Building a 1200-1400 square foot ranch on ten acres in the next year or so.

I've been looking at larger land but I really don't want to take care of it. I'd rather travel and flip someone a $100 to mow while I'm gone.

Plan is to find a piece of ground that has good hunting and enough drainage that I can build a watershed.  Will only mow the area immediately around the structure....probably a couple acres.
that sounds like a safe haven for disease ridden ticks

Those SOBs are everywhere as it is.  May as well get bitten by ticks from my property and not someone else's when hunting.
