i actually read an official NCAA release and I took it more an elimination of the "hardship" appeal process (dying grandma, etc). Did the NCAA just apply the hardship appeal as an answer to oversigning and coaching changes or was there an actual "run off" rule?

There was an article linked in this thread or one of the other Holy-crap-Marcus-Is-Leaving threads that stated that the hardship rule and the run off rule were both no longer going to allow immediate play, but could result in the player getting a 6th year so that they don't waste a year of playing time while sitting out from the move.
