i thought having a good offensive line meant kline wouldn't be as banged up either.  the truth is that nothing can save a LHC Bill Snyder qb from LHC Bill Snyder.

I concur, on two accounts:

1 - Time of possession is our most important offensive statistic. That and playing defense is the calling card of most Snyder teams. Do some people still not get this? The Bishop years and those Jake Waters years when we couldn't run worth a damn were outliers. We were 45th in the nation in offensive ppg last season, 32.2. Regardless of where that ranks us, we need to score more than that to win the conference. Maybe at least 5 more ppg?

2 - Ertz will be banged up at some point this season. Let's hope it is not during a vital game (OU, OSU).

Good point, probably the most important for almost any team's success. We were pretty good with the turnover margin last year.

Turnovers and points per drive is what you need to watch guys. Those are the hallmarks of Snyder 2.0 and Dimel's offense.

While your point might still be accurate about Snyder QBs, a good line wasn't going to reduce the qb carries. A really great running back tandem might do just that.

I highly doubt this will be our best offense. A good one, sure, but not better than 2012 or 2014.
