He played well today given the injury.

Gritty win.  His best plays were called back due to holding calls.

Considering the limits with today's offense this was a really nice win.

Jake needs to skip class all week and hang with the trainer.

I'll admit that, even in garbage time, Hubes runs a pretty QB power lead.

I'm guessing today was the first time Jake threw many passes all week. And the next time will be next Saturday.

Wow, Waters is much more comparable to Klein than I thought, especially considering Jones gets all the close rushing TDs.

because we have to give Jones the ball close does not make Collin and Jake more comparable.

I might consider bringing in Hubes to run the zombie formation instead of jones.  Hubes would at least keep the defense somewhat honest.

It's very sad that this has become the official thread for one of the best players in college football.

He looked more healthy/less in pain this past week. Hopefully he's healing a bit every game. IMO he'll probably be needed for 8-10 designed QB runs in each of our next two games to get the right balance from our offense.

I'm not sure if we need that many designed runs, but he will need to be more effective running the ball. There were several opportunities to scramble on Saturday that he passed up. The few times he did take off he didn't really capitalize on the yardage available so he could get outside and out of bounds.

I'm not suggesting he needs to run the ball like he did the first 6 games of the season, but there will be certain times when he'll need to get us the extra few yards instead heading towards the sideline early.

The timing of the pop pass also seemed off on Saturday due to his anxiousness to throw it early.

I think he knows his limits and when to push himself. Klein seemed to know the same thing. When to go all in and when to hold up. It's go time now, time to push all the chips in.

Also, opponents are just grabbing Gronk or Trujillo on the release now, which is to be expected. That throws off the timing as well.

With the nature of what I believe to be Jake's injury, he should get a little bit healthier every week as long as he doesn't take another hard shot.

TCU seems to be a rough game for players. Hope he makes it through ok.
