All these penalties and this dogshit defense aren't helping.

Greatest play by waters career to get that sneak before the review.

Not disputing that John.  But that was superior situational awareness.

not what he said at all.  He said he was surprised they didn't stop the play for a review.

Jake made some bad throws, particularly the miss to Lockett. But pass protection has been poor and the defense has been terrible. Also, Jones need to be on the field. I like Robinson but it's clear Jones is the guy. JMHO.

Are our receivers dogshit?  I mean, waters has been holding forever.  Is he an unconfident loser?  Gotta be one or the other, right?

well if you have a shitty o-line you might want to keep a guy like a daniel sams around.

We didn't adjust well and I think the early long throw to Lockett played into this.

ISU decided that they were going to roll the dice, load the box, and play man on our receivers with only 1 deep saftey most of the time. We burned them early then nearly burned them again on the 2nd drive when Waters missed Lockett.

As a result I think we thought we can throw on these guys all day, but ISU (until the final drive) took away Lockett and our other receivers couldn't get separation. Also, Jake didn't have the checkdowns like last week because we kept RBs in for extra protection. Also, when we got down inside the redzone we insisted on throwing the ball even though we were still running for chunks against ISU's defense stacking the box. Then we start making mistakes (false starts) and our defense absolutely implodes.

There is no reason we should not have been up 21-0 or 17-0. Once ISU grabbed momentum we were in a dogfight.

I'm not sold the oline is terrible, it might be better than last year. We are gashing them in the run game. However, we are having trouble with in pass protection, particularly against ISU's blitzes.

Gronk is struggling.  Picked a really shitty block(picked a kid already being blocked and let the LB unblocked get jake) on the jake run that ended up a yrd short causing a punt.  Then the two point conv "block".

Yeah, we made an amazing amount of mistakes and are only down 8. ISU is still a very limited football team. If we get things figured out, we could still win by nearly 2 TDs.

4false starts. Holding call. Our Wr core outside of Lockett and sometimes Sexton are having real problems (burton is extremely raw and it's showing).  Is Jake playing very average? Yes.  He missed some throws but had a couple nice runs no one is even talking about.

_Fan, I agree in general, but I think you might be underestimating just how bad our defense is.
