I'm going to assume that when Dems are in business with the Russians, that the resident ProgLibs are similarly outraged.

I mean, if it's not a sitting SOS brokering a huge natural resource deal for a Russian shell company, it's a former DNC chairman lobbying Capital Hill on behalf of Russian banks and energy companies.

Resident libs were surely enraged by that news when it broke.

Dem hero Barry Obama worked all the back channels to try and work with Russia, because of that post-election "flexibility".   I am going to assume the resident New McCarthyites were absolutely losing their minds over that, and likely were thinking impeachment everytime the previous administration gave intelligence and bombing coordinates to the Russians, so they could bomb "our guys".

This is outside the box

https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-trump-russia-story-starts-making-sense-1495834721?mod=e2tw

So Dem hero (formerly Dem goat) got worked by the Russians?

That's gotta be tough for them considering they now cling to every word coming from entities they used to despise and wanted to be disbanded.

http://nypost.com/2017/06/02/kushnergate-is-a-big-fat-nothing-burger/

Quote
In fact, the WaPo knew Kushner served as the official “primary point of contact” with the Russians and other foreign ambassadors as early as Feb. 10, when it published a fairly flattering story about him serving as “a shadow diplomat” in talks with “more than two dozen countries.”

The February story noted that Kushner had secretly met with foreign officials in New York and even established “back-channel communications” with other nations. But back then it portrayed the off-the-grid talks as healthy, because Kushner was “a moderating influence” among what it viewed as foreign-policy “extremists” in the new White House.

“Some of the leaders who have dealt with Kushner said they were initially skeptical but found him to be a good listener and courteous intermediary who quickly intuits the core of their issues,” the paper reported.

But then, as the manufactured “Russiagate” conspiracy was fizzling, the WaPo published its sensational May 26 story that made it seem as if there was something nefarious about what the paper three months earlier had known Kushner was doing. This time, his private, back-channel meetings with Russia were cast in a dark and sinister light.

The new story, “Russian ambassador told Moscow that Kushner wanted secret communications channel with Kremlin,” got wall-to-wall coverage on CNN and NBC, but in fact there was no there there.

Indeed, the White House had already explained publicly in March that Kushner’s supposedly “secret” meeting the previous December with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak was meant “to explore whether a channel could be set up between the Russian government and the incoming administration to improve relations” and “cooperate on issues in the Middle East, an area Mr. Kushner has been deputized to take the lead on.”

Fox News, moreover, revealed it was the Russian ambassador who suggested establishing a secret back channel, not Kushner. And the idea of a permanent back channel was never discussed, only a one-off for a call about Syria and ISIS. No secret line was ever established.

The Washington Post also based its story last week on an anonymous letter. That’s right: It has no idea who wrote it.

In other words, WaPo is just recycling old news they themselves reported because it is another opportunity to drive the "Trump - Russia" narrative.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Perhaps the fact he's under FBI scrutiny is what brought the story back to the forefront?  :dunno:

Are you trying to argue that Trump is dumber than Obama?

No.   What a weird take.

But certainly there's a ring leader from the inner workings of the West Wing that can be ferreted away to some diplomatic outpost to avoid Congressional subpoena.   Ala Kevin O'Reilly.

For palace intrigue, so far, this kinda blows.  Still time though.

Sessions should be going full Holder here with Trump.  Again, boring.

RUSSIAN MILITARY INTELLIGENCE executed a cyberattack on at least one U.S. voting software supplier and sent spear-phishing emails to more than 100 local election officials just days before last November’s presidential election, according to a highly classified intelligence report obtained by The Intercept.

Trump is right to have wanted to drop sanctions against Russia. It would be totally normal to return their U.S. compounds that Obama forced them out of after the election.

What a weird weird weird turn of events.  The same people that said our voting system was impregnable are now saying it's completely mumped.  Hilarious and sad.

Lol, bucket, you act like Russia trying to influence elections is new.

The United States intelligence community has been influencing and fixing elections for decades in lands across the globe.  Your hero was caught hacking and listening in on European chancellors and prime ministers (I mean the dude did run a massive domestic spying operation).

I would have figured you New McCarthyites would know all this stuff.

Dax is going back to the "other people did bad things, so we should just let everyone get away with doing bad things" defense. Interesting.

Trump will stand firm in the face of these Russian attacks on the US.  I bet he increases the sanctions.

I'll just assume you were completely enraged Abe, calling your reps and asking for investigations.  You know, like all non partisans would do.
