Just to review:

Sanctions still in place, NATO troops still all over far Eastern Europe, US now backing away from Cyber Security agreement with Russia, Putin blaming US for ransom ware attacks, US putting the squeeze on Russian client states (one of whom is clearly bending every rule and breaking some to develop and deliver nuclear weapons).

It appears that dax and FSD are happy to go ahead and shut down all investigations at this point and commit to going along with whatever policies Trump has in mind for the US/Russia relationship. Sounds very reasonable.

I wasn't attempting to answer your question. But my answer is that the particular charge is inconsequential. What's important is the cause of the charge, which is enough people getting sick of his crap.

This thread was really meant to be about fishy Russia/Trump stuff, though. (See OP.) Maybe we need a thread dedicated to refuting claims of COLUSION or other crimes. That stuff seems really important to some people.

Come on dude, even after the Obama's first election, we had media sources openly admitting that he was the least vetted president in modern American history, and they basically didn't really know who the eff the guy was. They then preceded to essentially allow themselves to be lap dogs for 8 years, with one entire party giving exactly zero fucks in performing executive branch oversight and trying to thwart executive branch oversight at every possible turn.

If the media did a tenth of the amount of digging into Clinton instead of the perpetual soft landing they gave her at every turn, she'd be in prison right now.
