The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Re: GOP Battledome Trump v Ryan

I think the republicans would do themselves a lot of good if they had a meeting every year where they sit everyone down and explain exactly why they support the things they do, too. Like coal, for example. Maybe if they could articulate that supporting coal creates middle class jobs for uneducated people while lowering energy costs, that would be a better strategy than claiming that global warming doesn't exist.

it WOULD be great if they had those meetings, but it would also be great if they told the truth in those meetings. like how, the current global price of coal doesn't in fact support a glut of American middle class jobs.

The price of coal would probably go up if there were new coal plants demanding it.

If there was a demand for new coal plants, coal companies would probably be building them.

Ultimately, it comes down to the fact that we live in a post-industrial world, and as our demand for power continues to increase exponentially over the next century, we need to be moving towards new and cheaper modes of power generation (with an emphasis on clean power generation since the negative effects of pollution are compounded by population growth).

I think that if you remove the excessive regulation, coal would be a whole lot cheaper than it is right now.

but at what price to other economic sectors like healthcare and agriculture? energy doesn't exist in a vacuum.

the problem with R's immigration policy:

"hey you, unemployed white guy, you want a job?"

"sure do"

"great, get in that field and pick artichokes for 14 hours a day"

"uh...no"

Trump now citing Russian propaganda that no American news outlet is reporting on...

hold on, folks

I don't think you can call photocopies of podestas emails Russian propoganda, unless you think hillary is the russian czar of propoganda.

bwahahaha

the text was written by an american writer in an article that was published in newsweek showing what it would take for hillary to really be up against the wall with her emails. it was a fictional email that he wrote posing as sidney blumenthal. sputnik (russian propaganda outlet) takes the text, puts it out as a legit podesta email. sputnik later takes it down because the original author caught them.

bwahahaha

I really can't wait to see these two square off working together in our government, Ryan will have to kowtow to Trump or step down otherwise he will get trucked.

You're going to be waiting a very long time. Like, forever.

how would donald know that you can "do anything" to women when you're a rich and powerful man if he hasn't tried it and done it?

Talked to Bill & Hillary Clinton?

no, you're right. I'm sure that donald never figured out how to use his status and position for sexual exploit until he was a 50-year old man.

“Come on, that’s how real men talk!” said a very frustrated man who wouldn’t give his name. “That’s how men talk!” A 17-year-old who has been volunteering for the Trump campaign, and who also didn’t want his name used, was explaining to a bystander that Trump’s comments weren’t predatory because they let him do it because he’s a star, and that is a form of consent.

could Trump's tiny hands even wield a slingshot?

1421
King David also had a dude in his army killed so he could bone the dude's wife, which is also something i can totally see Trump doing.
