Is Sumlin going to get canned this year?
Paul Finebaum was saying if he loses out (which he has) he is very at risk.  Even went as far as saying a&m would look at Herman too.  Then he went off the rails and said the aggies could compete with Texas in a bidding war for Herman.

a&m fans were chanting herman's name last night during their loss @ lsu

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Living down here in Texas now, A&M and UT having an opening at the same time would be awesome, especially if LSU goes off and gets the biggest name available.

Would be entertaining. I have a coworker who really wants UT to get Les Miles.

Finebaum is still a huge tool

I don't mind Finebaum.

He lubes up his head and shoves it up SEC ass a bit too often.

Firing a guy that won a national championship for you to give the job to a guy that sounds like Farmer Fran really cements your program in the upper echelon.

Weird pick. Also, not sure how good Herman is. Should have hired James Franklin.

Aggies and horns should just swap.  Coach Swap could be longhorn network's first reality show.

That would be pretty dumb of him, Western Michigan has a better program than Purdue, right now.

There is no way Brian Kelly is quitting Note Dame, there is no other job out there. What the hell is he going to do, go to Purdue, Houston, or Cincinnati?

The coaching carousel this year is going to be terrible.

And there will undoubtedly be better jobs open than that one. It's one of the worst in Power 5.

PJ is a strange guy.  You have no idea what people like him are going to do or what motivates them.  There's also a lot of smoke he wants to stay near his kids.  Purdue to Kalamazoo is only 3 hours.  He might be thinking "I can do a total rebuild job my way with very little pressure near my kids".  Who knows with him.  He does things his own way, which is why I want him here.

I want PJ, but by the time Bill retires there will be another good up and comer available like Mike Norvell or Chuck Martin or Chris Creighton.  Bad thing is in the MWC Matt Wells has been exposed without Todd Orlando and the other improving teams are coached by old retreads like Bob Davie and Rocky Long.

There will always be acceptable coaches available similar to what's available now.  Currie's not going the coordinator route unless it's Brent.  There's always a Brian Harsin or Mike Norvell available that could do well here.

This is a great post. I'm sure if he takes that job there will be thoughts of If i can build this in Kalamazoo, I can build it here." But the gap to the top of the Big 10 is significantly bigger than it is to the top of the MAC. I've heard he may be on the Oregon short list.

I just want PJ to be successful wherever he is as long as his success isn't deterrent to K-State's. I think he is a fun guy, I like his style of coaching I like him.
