Overheard a table of olds talking about KU football and the future at a bar in Topeka after work today. They were talking about the help on the way due to the talent that is red shirting this year. Optimism about next year was high.

We did it in 98 against Nebraska. Kind of amazing how Un-Snyder 2 that game was.

Could've been that we deferred to the second half and ultimately decided to play to have the wind at our backs in the 4th quarter rather than take the kickoff in the third, in case it came down to a late field goal. That's different than KU winning the toss against us, electing to use their choice in the first half, and in using that choice, deciding to kick.
