I was just thinking about that while driving to work today, but with the amount of money that goes into the NY6 games I don't think you can handle it any other way, outside of saying WMU went undefeated and beat 2 big 10 teams and Navy has lost 2 games and should gtfo, but that isn't going to happen.

This is exactly what they should have done. I know we love Kirby but they messed this up. There is no way in the world Navy should jump into a New Year's six bowl off of the strength of beating Army. I'm sure Western Michigan would love to play against Northern Illinois next week if it meant they could go to the cotton bowl.
