bo pelini- always seemed like a true wildcat at heart, let’s bring bo home

I could probably talk myself into bo if carl comes along as well

I don't think there's that much blow in Manhattan.

People's memories are short.  I bet most kids at Kstate don't even realize Nebraska was in the BigXII or who Pelini is.

Gary Barnett.  I think he has several good years left and a thing or two up his sleeve.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

I easily could have talked myself into Barnett after Prince got canned.  He's too old now and has been out of coaching for too long though.

Would take Bo Pelini.

I thought about the age thing but he is 7 years younger than Snydsies and as long as he doesn't have HPV that will lead to throat cancer I'm pretty sure he could come in and do some marvelous things quickly.  :whistle1:

I seem to remember some unsavory things about Barnett's tenure at CU. No thanks.

I was going to say his name, but he's 71 and ended his career with an overall losing record. That's too gross for me.

Leavitt is the “I wanted Sean but I will settle for Leavitt” option for Bill.  I’d rather have Leavitt than Sean.  Ice is cold, sun is hot.

I am starting to get excited about Charlie Strong though.

What about Gary Pinkel? :dunno:  I mean if Syndsies can lick throat cancer :fatty: I'm betting a young buck like Gary will be just fine with the advancements they've made in medicine.  Dude could recruit the crap out of those Missouri kids.  Come out of retirement Gary!  We could be the University that brings dudes out of retirment.  :excited:

Would take Bo Pelini.

Pelini is coaching it up at Youngstown State in Ohio.

I think the issues were not have been even reported if Pelini won in Lincoln but because he won only on average 10 games a season for 7 seasons they used the issues to fire him.

Pelini for sure should get another chance.

Pinkle definitely qualifies as a gross coach I’d be at least moderately excited about. As far as fired coaches go, I don’t think Strong is gross at all, but I don’t think I could get excited about Muschamp. Is that weird?

Muschamp is dogshit.  Strong would get me pretty excited.

 :Chirp:
Jim Leavitt

Jim Leavitt is not gross.

He’s gross to me because I only have eyes for Venzy and everyone else would be a letdown for me. But I could totally convince myself and be cool with him as a silver or bronze medal.

Venzy is a sexy pick but risky. Leavitt will win. Venzy is a question mark as a hc. Kstate had the balls to hire the mobster Bob Huggins after his transgressions. I love the leavitt pick. However unlike huggy, JL would probably hang around.

Also Leavitt is nowhere near as good at coaching football as Huggy is at coaching basketball, so that makes 2 differences.

And Leavitt isn’t coming with a package of the best players our program has ever seen.
