tell me more about this fuzzy's taco shop Mike from Ft. Collins, i'm intrigued.

It's close to the west end of campus and is a good place to catch a buzz, grab a bite and stumble home without worrying about driving if you live close to campus.  It's the kind of place where you place your order at the bar, pay, then they call your name when your food is ready.  The portions are large.  I'm a beer drinker, but the margaritas and other mixed drinks are large and look good.  The tacos aren't nearly as good as the ones I had in San Diego earlier this month, but they're ok.

San Diego has a location also?  This place sounds like something i need to try if i'm ever in Ft. Collins, thanks Mike.

I don't know if San Diego has a location.  I ate at the "Taco Stand" in San Diego and they were much better than the ones I got at Fuzzy's in Fort Collins.  Taco Stand in San Diego link:

Hey Mike long time listener, first time caller.  :Wha: I have some friends who will be moving out there for grad school. I'm planning on getting them some gift cards for great local places out there is there any where you would suggest? P.S they love coffee and food. TIA

Hi Greg,
Here are some suggestions:
1) Breakfast/Coffee:  Note: There are some coffee houses around campus, but I can't vouch for any of them because I've never been to any of them, but I can vouch for these breakfast places.

Coopersmith's also has large pool tables that can be rented by the hour.  Nicest tables in town, good beer and good food.

That is pretty nice actually.

Mike, I'm going to be in the area in May and if time allows was hoping to do some stadium creeping.  Is it easy to do there or do they have the place locked up?

Brock,
Good to hear that you'll be in town.  Fort Collins is a great place to be in May.  To answer your question; it's hard to know if it will be unlocked or not, but you can get a pretty good view of the place from the north side (Pitkin St) which is the open end of the bowl that opens to the heart of campus.  It also happens to be where the main gates are so if it's open, then you'll know.  I'll check around to see if I can get better info and post it here.

*UPDATE:  Tours are open to the public M-F throughout the year.  Follow the link to sign up.

We need more Big 12 teams to visit our new stadium.  Texas Tech is the only one with a big enough sack to take up the challenge so far...

Because that's what we do. You didn't answer my question.

Rivals sucks and has outdated info.  That's why it's showing us as having a shitty recruiting class.  They only show that K-State has 1 LOI signed so far today.  Try this site instead.
https://247sports.com/Season/2018-Football/CompositeTeamRankings

CSU has (8) 3* players sign already today and (5) 2*.

Congrats on your 13 LOI signees so far.  It looks like a good class.

Why are you being out-recruited by Kansas?

Hey Mike, why do you guys have the 4th worst recruiting class in cfb if you guys are putting all of this $ into football?

https://n.rivals.com/team_rankings/2018/all-teams/football

Hey Wackycat, Why are you guys tied with Arkansas St in recruiting?

They are playing a Pac 12 game between two ranked teams that will end after 11:30 PM locally, 2:30 AM on the east coast. That is completely unacceptable. I couldn't imagine sitting at a football game with my family at nearly midnight, then have to sit in traffic for another hour.

Isn’t that what the Pac-12 signed up for though? Espn and fox want to grab you at 11am cst and hold your eyes until the latest possible moment. College football Saturday’s have to be the longest consecutive viewing opportunities these networks have and they get it 13 times a year while the other 352 Days a year you’re lucky to get any sort of consecutive viewing. Yeah it sucks more to be at the back end of it than the front end of it but those P12 schools would be playing in those time slots regardless of what conference they’re in or the TV deal they have.

It's what the administrators signed up for, it's not what the coaches, players, and fans signed up for. Of course the administrators had to take it because that's what was offered.

Also two things worth noting. FOX isn't giving these 7:30 and 8:00 local time kick offs for the Pac 12, that's specific to ESPN. FOX doesn't do kickoffs after primetime on the east coast. Also they would not be getting these kick times otherwise. This is a new phenomenon with the latest contract. The late kickoff used to be for the WAC conference and the Mountain West would occasionally get one. The Pac 10 used to have a lot of 2 and 5 kickoffs. ESPN is absolutely using the conference for a ratings and marketing boon, good for them, horrible for the players, coaches, and fans.

I don't disagree with anything you say, but would Coaches, players, and fans prefer those games to be in "better" times, on the Pac-12 Network? I'm not sure they would prefer that, the amount of complaining from that conference would be even louder if nobody outside their footprint ever saw their games no matter kick time. That is what it really comes down to, doesn't it?

CSU had an ESPN game earlier this year that started at 8:15PM.  It absolutely sucks for fans, especially those with kids.  I got home around 1:00AM for that game vs Nevada.  Now we have another this Saturday w/ Boise St starting at 8:30PM.

sorry Mike, losing at home to a service academy by double digits is rough stuff. T's & P's

I hate losing to the Flyboys.

For some reason, BYU fans think Fresno St is joining the Big 12 on Monday.

I could go for this.

Las Vegas Bowl, Las Vegas (3:30 p.m., ABC)
MWC vs. Pac-12
Colorado State vs. Oregon

I think both conferences need each other and there are in fighting among the PAC 12.   I could see a couple of the PAC 12 schools left out, in the same way the Big 8 & SWC merged.  This could become an painless merger as both original conferences could then play each other in round robins and the top team of each division would play in the largest CCG in the national.  Talk about media bucks.  The CPF would work out great, due to the fact it would always be our conference champion and what ever gets picked from the other three conferences.  Our conference network would also be the most watched, due to it covering an area from eastern to pacific time zones.  Plus it would put a lot more eyes on network games that include the mid to western United States.

THINK ABOUT THAT!!!

Any type of merger between the Pac-12 and Big 12 will consist of 2-6 Big 12 schools moving to the Pac-12.  No school will leave the Pac-12 to join the Big 12.

Maximum attention is possible in front row

Maybe it was an empty seat and he just walked down there and sat down.  I mean there were thousands of empty seats.

Just kidding.  I actually had the game on for the first half.  Looked like a good crowd.  Congrats on your win.

HOLY crap!

BVP also said that CU was the "worst 6th ranked team" CSU had ever beaten.  After he graduated (while with the Denver Broncos), he came to a CSU game in Boulder wearing a CSU flag as a cape and flipped off the CU students.  CU fans hate him to this day.  CSU fans, obviously, love him.

Alabama beat CSU 41-23 in Tuscaloosa.  CSU put more points on Bama than any other opponent this season.  It was a respectable loss.

Alabama beat Vanderbilt 59-0 in Nashville.

Vanderbilt beat Kansas St 14-7 in Nashville with more KState fans in attendance than Vandy fans according to some on this board.

Logic says that CSU > K-State

How do you tailgate inside a bar?

Not sure, but Wisconsin fans figured it out. I think it's illegal to drink outside in Provo, seriously.

25
Seriously dgaf about foco juco stuff but that's pretty funny, Mike.

If you want to tailgate at BYU, you better be prepared to do it in a gay bar if you want to drink.
