Sources told Burner Ball there is a separate issue at hand that drove President Linton to make this decision. Details of the issue cannot and will not be shared by this outlet.

Yes, there's definitely something else he did.  And no one can talk about it.  It's for sure it's a coincidence that it's the day that the President got butthurt and embarrassed that the AD decided on his own to kick him off the team.

There was never any issue with an agent, like was suspected. There have been two situations this semester that required an investigation. The first was cleared days before the 2nd took place, which was the bar situation and got amplified due to the first. But ultimately cleared as well.

If you want the chart to be accurate, you need to drop each individual coaches best and worst moments (maybe we don't ignore Sarks moment though). They are how they act in between those times.

We could find a single moment where Klieman was really animated and questionably ragey as well.

I don't think there has been a single time I've seen LL on the sidelines not being a complete fool.

3
Would argue Devin Neal is as talented as most of them as well.

Perry is such a good rhythm and set shooter. I don't know if he's had more than a handful of open shots.

Hoping Ames can help create more open shots for him, and should be even better when Tomlin gets back (especially if Kaluma continues to trend up)

Did you notice, after the first drive, how tentative our linebackers and DBs were when they were one-on-one with him? They were so scared of being put in a blender, rightly so, that they stopped attacking him to make tackles, and instead were reacting to his first step. This essentially allowed him to get a minimum of 4 yards, every time he touched it. If a d lineman didn't get a hand on him, he was getting a good gain.
Yep. He's damn good. I'll be eager to see whether he leaves for the NFL after this year.  Hope so.
You'd think KU would be able to pay him enough NIL money to where he could stick around if he wanted to.

I doubt it. In 2023 the last RB in the 3rd round signed a $5.5 million contract, $1 million guaranteed. Bijan Robinson signed a $22 million contract, fully guaranteed. Even if the money is even, I don't know too many running backs who are going to waste carries in college, they have to get to that second contract as soon as possible.
Yep.  There are legitimate reasons to stay in college (i.e. being a star rb in college is really fun), but from a strictly financial perspective, leaving is a no brainer.

FWIW, I think he'd be going to be a higher selection than "late round/UDFA."

He wanted to get TF out of Lawrence and begged to come to K-State. Got to assume he's ready for the next step now.

I did some math and if we hadn't touched our stadium, it would take us $375-400 million today to do all the work we have done in the last 12 or so years (WSC, Vanier, NEZ Fun Zone, Field Wall, Shamrock Zone, New Indoor).

It's wild they're going to spend that much for so little and still be so far behind us.

7
This is going to be a Cal Memorial stadium situation. They're going to push it through and barely be able to pay the interest on it each year.

their defense must be incred

(and also they must play really bad teams given the Nubb SoS)

Their defense is definitely incredible. And their punter is a master at flipping field position and pinning them deep.

He averages 6.5* punts per game.

(*EDITED FOR CORRECT PUNT NUMBER)

how about 20 teams, 2x 10-team divisions, full round robin in division and CCG for the best from each?  I don't like the idea of being locked into a division though, so there can be a rotation of members between both divisions with protections for cherished rivalries or something like that

Good timing.

10 is the best.

Since we'll never go back to that. Does that mean 20 (2x 10 team divisions) is the right number for a mega-conference in football?

We need OSU and OU to both lose.

- IF they both lose, we are in the Dr. Pepper.
- IF they both win, we are most likely looking at the Pop Tarts/Camping World bowl at best.
- IF just OSU loses, no DP and Alamo Bowl?
- IF just OU loses (and then Texas beats OSU in CCG/makes CFP), no DP but I still think there is a chance we could sneak into an NY6 (just let me wish)

If Texas wins out what are the chances it gets into the CFP?  If so, we (Big 12) get more money, right?

I think it completely depends on the SEC champ game and how the committee reacts to a possible Bama win over Georgia?

If Texas wins out, and Alabama beats Georgia, you'd have to think Texas jumps Georgia (and the loser of Mich/OSU, and whichever of Wash/Oregon doesn't win the P12).

Django Unchained is very fun on rewatch.

Edit: and Christoph Waltz is an absolute gem of a man.

Waltz/Western cross post. Have had "Dead for a Dollar" on my list to watch for awhile now.

Also, if you know you're going to get stuck inside for a day due to weather.... watch Lonesome Dove

KU friends going nuts about the blocked XP. They think it was illegal when it was actually by the book. It was awesome.

Hopefully they start to understand football rules through the years, but maybe they're just so used to AFH and Leipold screaming about every call, it'll always be their natural instinct.

We didn't lose a set in MHK the last 6 weeks of the season.

Can we petition the NCAA to play all matches at home?

Lance/koteniki should be put in jail for only giving Neal 19 touches.

If there was ever a game to give that guy 35+ carries, it’s probably that game.  He’s the best RB in the conference, imo.

The dude wanted to be a Cat. This was his moment. If he would've went for 250+ all purpose maybe it would've got Pete Hughes fired.

How many of their games this year would it be true to say “first one to 14 wins”?

Technically in only one game did someone score 14 first and lose, w/ 2 that finished 10-7 and 12-10, so no one even got there. So I guess it would be accurate to say for 10 of 11 games?

I'm gonna be Rock Hawkeye'ing my ass off in the conference champ game. Would be amazing if they win it.

On our down year and we probably still have an outside chance at an NY6 game even if we don’t make the Pepper, right?

Obviously a lot of things need to happen, and Texas would need to make the CFP.

Hawks have a big game next week. A loss would be their 16th straight year without a winning conference record.

A win officially gets them out of their rough patch. Gonna rock chalk hard for them.

I mean KM has been an elite defender so I agree Kaluma could be that.  If the ceiling is 3rd team All B12 / HM like KM then yea I could see that too. When I hear best in league I default to 1st team selection, and I don't see anyway he is that.

Has anyone said "best in the league"?

One of the best in the league could be 3rd team All big 12, which would make you better than 80% of the starters in the league. If Kaluma, Carter, Perry, (and Tomlin?) are all in that range w/ maybe Perry or someone playing at 1st/2nd team level, this is going to be a REALLY successful team.

Used the Costco membership to buy golf cart batteries this year. Probably saved $120+ from the best deal I had found anywhere else.
