Off topic, but relevant: The Catholic church is organized into parishes, with a church as the center of the parish. The parish is led by a priest. I've noticed that parishes seem to have two different types of priests--a fiscal guy that is not all that warm and fuzzy, or a warm and fuzzy priest that doesn't manage the fiscal side very well. It's an either/or situation. Parishes are often led by a warm and fuzzy priest, who neglects finances, and then is rotated out so that a fiscal-oriented priest can be rotated in. After the finances are fixed, a warm and fuzzy priest is rotated in to replace the fiscal priest. Follow me?
Ok, so K-State's athletic dept, with the hiring of John Currie, opted for a fiscal guy that could clean up the books and get the department in good fiscal condition. Unfortunately, Currie was not good with the coaches of the two biggest revenue sports (not warm and fuzzy).
Question: Are we going to hire a fiscal person, or a warm-and-fuzzy person to replace Currie?
