Tigers just traded Lorenzo Cain and Danny Duffy for David Price, basically

How many years are remaining on Price's contract?

I think it's just this year and next year.  They were talking earlier about how they did it obviously to push for this year, but to also have insurance for next year because they figure Sherzer is going to be gone since he denied the big contract extension they offered him.

Good thing that we still have Ibanez on the team. I know that he didn't get a hit, or move any of the runners in that situation...but, I'll bet his clubhouse presence will somehow result in a win tonight. It will certainly be more valuable than having a guy on the bench who can come in and mash lefties.

Ibanez almost leadership'd Moustakas into getting a hit there...almost. Maybe next time.

We had little chance to win the division this season. What little chance it was evaporated today.

We never had a chance for the div.  The whole year it has been WC or bust.

Just couldn't find the right fit at the deadline guys.  Just not the right fit.  Gotta be the right fit because if not then it won't fit.  Is that the right fit?  Nope. Wrong fit.  Fit is everything if you ask me about fit.  You say "right" I say "fit" - "right" "fit" "right" "fit".

Hosmer's last at bat was atrocious.

His first swing may be the worst swing I've ever seen from him.

Know what trade today really annoys me? Tommy Milone for Sam Fuld. Definitely wouldn't mind having Milone and you'd think Aoki has a pretty comparable value to Fuld.

I heard Danny or someone on 810 say this day and they were wrong too.

No one wants a slap hitter coming off injury who has some of the worst highlight swings this year.
