BTW...I have degrees from KSU, KU, and Arky. Tough to take sides at times, but a TX loss to Arky is fine with me.

Wrong. KSU is my first loyalty. I'm happy if KU loses to anyone, including us. And Texas losses to any team is OK with me, also.

After last nights performance I was laughing about how Baylor's shitty non con is going to hurt them even more next year. Then I remembered our non con schedule for next year. And I was sad.

That only matters if we finish 11-1 or 12-0, so don't worry about it.

Pig aggie is a much better team than their record. Texas, however, is every bit a 6-6 team.

As far as the OU game is concerned - they are only dangerous when Knight is making plays (i.e. running) and he had 2 carries last night.

 In that case I hope I am worrying about it this time next year.

meh.  the big 12 went 3-3 last year, with OU's win over Alabama being the most significant, probably Baylor's loss to UCF being the "worst"?.  that didn't lead into anything special this year for any team that won or lost their bowls.  the big 10 went 2-5 in bowls last year, and was considered a dogshit league until the last week of the CFPC's poll.

what the league needs is for OU and UT to quit sucking so much rough ridin' ass.  They are both absolute rough ridin' disgraces.

I mean, all that being said, Michigan needs a coach, they get Jim Harbaugh.  Texas needs a coach, they got Charlie Strong.

To be honest, a lot of coaches didn't want to deal with all of the LHN bullshit.

Taped practices, additional shows, etc.

I'm pretty sure Texas hired the guy they wanted. I would have gone for Briles, but Strong is a very good football coach who could be successful at Texas if given enough time.

If Baylor, tcu, and us win our bowls, the conference will appear strong. Nobody cares what the puds do in bowl games.

did UT really hire who they wanted?  I don't think so.  At least that's not my recollection.

I don't think it really matters. Strong probably only has one more year.

Saban for sure - Was offered not just a boat load of money, but one USS Austin (RIPieces) and then the regular boat load to get him out of 'Bama.

Michigan got lucky that Harbaugh's NFL options were controlled by the 49ers and he is an alum.  Texas is a better job by any metric than Michigan.

The lesson from the Strong hire is with all the top half of P5 jobs able to pay $4M+ if they want to is most coach's will stay with the current situation they know and keep what equity they have built than start over for slightly bigger bucks and bigger expectations.
