Who would you rather learn from to be the best LB that you can be? A guy who played safety and has only coached LBs for a year, or a guy that played LB and has coached LBs for nearly 30 years producing All Conference and All American players?

Would you rather live in Miami or Manhattan for 4-5 years?

Would you rather go to one of the top private universities in the entire nation, or one that strives to be a Top 50 public research university ten years from now?

Would you rather live within a long drive from home, but one you can make in a day, or would you rather live somewhere you have to spend a bunch of money to fly home?

I mean, it really is as simple as the experience of your position coach, though.

If quality of education was a big factor in recruiting, Duke, UVA, Vandy, Cal, etc would field great teams every year.

there's that and the fact that miami isn't considered one of the top private schools in the country by anyone outside of one poster in this thread

Also the fact that the people who live in Miami even recognize it's a huge shitthole.

I consider a Top 50 school one of the top private schools.

None of these guys care about education. Which is good for us (perception-wise, KSU profs are top notch)

I wouldn't say "none"  of these guys care about education.  Its just not as big a part of the equation as other things.   I would think more recruits care about the quality of coaching more than the quality of education.

Tweeted this but thought I'd pass it along...

Solid weekend at #KState on tap with at least 6 visitors like in-state S Darreon Jackson, juco WR Camion Patrick and ATH Darreyl Patterson. Other names expected have already been reported such as Kyle Ball, Evan Curl, Aulelio Olomua, G.G. Robinson, and expect some walk-on names to pop up, too.

Crabby, are we going to get a DT in this class, like, at all?

Camion Patrick didn't come. Instead, he's visiting Auburn, who hasn't offered him. We are just the worse at recruiting WRs.

Patrick visits Auburn instead after telling DJamer Wally his dad was in a car accident and couldn't come to Manhattan.

Saw stud recruiters Charlie Dickey, Blake Seiler, and Collin Klein (among others) showing some future cats a good time in section 24 today.   Using our hobby sport to recruit for the big time?  Studly.

Not worried. I prefer Triple B. Big Bad Bryce.
