Royals have one of the most draft allotments in baseball this year. They may have four first round picks already have two for their Cain supplemental pick A and their regular draft pick in first round. May have two more with moose and Hosmer. 5 top 50 picks is possible for the 2018 draft, this will help the rebuilding of the farm system. But have to draft well.

I'm more bummed the brew crew got yelich than cain. We should have sought yelich.

Our rotation is garbage-y, and I only want to watch Karns and Junis pitch. Our bullpen is woof city, usa.

We didn't have the pieces to trade to get Yelich I don't think. Lewis Brinson is more valuable than anyone we have under contract except maybe Salvy, and it's clear the Marlins only want young controllable prospects.

we are going to end up signing Hosmer, and Moose is going to end up signing a 3/30 or something stupid and we won't get any picks for him leaving us with only 3 in the top 50

I think this is the most overvalued draft picks will ever be, and we should trade as many as we can for SP prospects that don't confirmed suck. Because if we draft SP's they will definitely suck.

My understanding is that if Moose signs a 3/30 or something less than $50 million total value, we'll get a pick that comes after Competitive Balance Round B. Competitive Balance Round B comes after Round 2. Granted, it's not a top 50 pick, but it's not nothing.

99% sure you cannot trade draft picks in baseball, but i don't disagree with you. we should have fire sold the big 3 last year instead of trading for dudes.

Well since Pitchers and Catchers reported yesterday, I thought I would get on and check to see what the media had to say about us when it comes to pre-season rankings. Not surprising but they aren't good.

Bleacher Report has us ranked 29th but the Miami Marlins are 28th

ESPN has us at 29th ending with a record in the ballpark for just barely not breaking .500 at 80-82
Sports Illustrated has us at 17th overall with the same record that ESPN does 80-82

Im excited for the season regardless but this season may be a long one.
